A Porter söröket eredetileg a XIX. századi angol dokkmunkások számára készítették.

Alk. 6,5% (V/V) Összetevők: pilseni maláta, müncheni maláta, kristály maláta, fekete maláta, ale típusú sörélesztő, komló.

Note: Initially 6.7% and 16°.

500ml bottle. There is rotten egg smell, after much lactic sweetness then some caramell, at the end of dried fruits and dark chocolate with some bitter hop. All of this is good but not complex for me.

500 ml bottle. Clear, dark reddish-black colour, long-life small beige head, dried fruity and roasted notes, medium body, a little bit fizzy, very sweet creamy malty taste, slight alcoholic and dried plummy palate. Nice one.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2014 At the third try... Finally a good one. No sourness. Well balanced and tastefull. A bit too carbonated but good. Unfortunately seems that this bottle is not good. Hope the second one is not sour. The travel till home has been long and very hot... Second try... Clear brown, light brown head minimal winey, rosted malts and caramel taste, sweet & sour, after taste, roasted malts slightly smokey and bitter Better than first time, but not so good as I expected Drinkable

0.5 bottle from Különleges Sörök Boltja. Foam quickly vanishes, even lace is totally gone, appearance is thus quite disappointing. The taste is sweety, roasted stuff, cola, caramel, a bit of hops is detectable in the aftertaste. Drinkable but mediocre: way to simple. I would expect more from a porter.

Black, small egg-color foam. Caramel, molasses, little roasted grains in the aroma. Taste of malts, slightly brown sugar... some caramel. Light body, medium carbonated.
I seemed a little water, and as there was something indefinable, unpleasant aftertaste.
It will not be my favorite, this still needs work.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2012 Szép fekete szín, gyenge habbal. Édeskés-kesernyés íz, jól sikerült porter, bár nekem a porter nem kedvenc tipusom. However, Porters are not my favourites, I have to admit that it is a quite good beer.

On tap @ Corvin beerfest. Dark brown body, light brown head. Aroma dominated by dark fruits, but has some chocolate in it. Taste reflects the aroma. Lots of dark fruits and some chocolate. Very easy to drink. It’s an awesome beer!

On tap at a festival, Budapest.
Poured black with a small tan head that disappeares slowly. Caramel, molasses, some roasted grains in the aroma. Sweet, oily character with molasses and caramel, roasted grains. Too sweet for me but drinkable.

Dark brown colour, light brown head, oily liquid. Aroma is quite complex: chocolate, some smoke, roasted malts and some fruity fragrances (raisins, dried fruits). Taste of malts, slightly sweet with chocolate and some roasted nuts. Tastes a bit like iron... But not a bad brew after all.

Draught at Főzdefeszt III, Budapest. Black coloured, small pale brown head, sweet nose with hint of chocolate. Sweet malty, light chocolate and some berries with whiff of smoke in the finish. Pleasant brew.
