Reddish, a bit cloudy liquid with pink foam. I wasn’t able to recognize the cognac in the aroma (the name means cognac-sour cherry but maybe it was just for the advertising), but the sour cherry is strong, providing the fruity aroma. Taste is like syrup, very sweet, lots of cherries.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear ruby/red coloured, pinkish head, tart cherry nose. Surprisingly not so artificial cherry taste without any notes of glue or similar stuff. Pretty tasty, not bad at all.

500ml bottle. A nice beer with cherry and cognac favor. Colour is pale red and a bit cloudy. Foam is also pinkish and does ring on the glass. Taste is malty beer with some cherry and the hot cognac. Body is thin and oily. CO2 is a little low for me a light fruit beer. Only its high price isn’t good.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2013 Kifejezetten szép, rózsaszínes, bár rövid életű hab jellemzi, színe kissé málnaszörpös inkább, kicsit sötétebben sokkal meggyőzőbb lenne. Illatában inkább meggyes, mintsem sörös, pont ahogy az ízében is: kifejezetten erős meggyes íz, valami szintetikus keserűséggel a háttérben...sokáig gondolkodtam, hogy ez vajon a sörtöl van-e, vagy a konyakosmeggytől (esetleg hozzáadott aromától) és végülis ez utóbbi mellett döntöttem. Összességében felüdítő italnak nem rossz, sörnek viszont gyenge lenne. Így valahogy a 2-es és a 3-as között van. A kóstolás után összekevertem 2:1 arányban a Rizmajer Porterével (2 rész konyakosmeggyes: 1 rész porter) és így a színe is, az íze is sokkal meggyőzőbb lett. Talán érdemes lenne a lagerük helyett ezzel kombinálniuk. Pinky quickly disappearing (although beautiful) head, rose wine-like colour (not very beer-like). Taste is dominated by the added sour-cherry with some synthetic bitterness in the background (it is most probably not because of the beer, but rather the added aromas). In average it would be 3/5 as a beverage, but as a beer, only 2/5. However, after tasting, I combined it with Rizmajer’s porter at 2:1 ratio, and it became much better (so, they should try to use their porter instead of their lager as basis).

On tap @ Főzdefeszt, Bp. Pours a pinkish red with a creamy pink head on its top. Sweet-tart aroma ruled by cherry escorted by bread and mild brandy flavours. Smooth, slick mouthfeel. Tart, light spicy finish. Good.
