Spicy, strong beer, made in Montreal by Cheval Blanc under license to Achouffe. Similar to, but not the same as, the classic La Chouffe.

Cloudy straw color, small white head that faded quickly to leave a small lace behind.Fruity wheat aroma with a nice mild spice to it,hints of lemon grass, and mildly sweet smelling.creamy like feel in the mouth at first with a nice fruity taste of lemon and an even better spicey edge to it.Wheaty tasting as well. The after taste is fruity and spicy with a nice hop presence.Very nice brew much better then the regular La chouffe IMO.Very easy to frink in fact i think i could drink this all night on a cold night. The alcohol in this brew never really makes a grand appearance but stay's quite hidden. Thanks go to Rastacouere for this brew.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a huge fluffy white head that takes a while to settle down. Aroma is yeasty with spicey pepper notes. Flavour is an interesting spiciness, some lemony hints of citrus. A spritely palate danced across the tongue. Didn't love it but enjoyed it.

Co-rated with scraff... Murky, peach-colored ale. No head. Aromas of apricot, coriander, white pepper, jalepeno pepper and bazooka bubblegum fill one's nose. Reminds me of a Belgian trippel. Flavors of pear, apricot, warm alcohol and holiday spices. Full-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Spicy, sweet, astringent finish.

Honey, citric, very tripelish, though soft and sweet, yeasty perfume aromas, delicious!

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2004 Golden ale with a big head. Coriander, yeasts and orange in the nose. Yeasty taste, but perhaps not as much as most other Cheval Blanc. Lots of malt, curacao, banana, coriander. Hoppier than I expected, dry finish. Definitly not a real chouffe, but pretty solid nevertheless.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2008 Golden color beer witha nice head when pourred into glass. Aroma of spice are really present and very tasteful. The alcohol is well hidden and overall this is another very refreshing beer from Cheval Blanc Re-rate 2008- Slightly hazy with good mix of spices. Well done and something like to drink from time to time.

soft yeasty aroma and spices. Pours golden yellow, slightly cloudy, white foamy head, carbonation high. Looks like a pilsener. Spices and alcohol in the flavour, maybe apricots or other fruits. A dry finish.

Bottle. Looks and smells initially like apple cider. Lots of tiny suspended yeast particles. Light carbonization. Scent of yeast and citrus as well. Big bubbles quickly disappear. Pleasant on the tongue. More apple and yeast flavour. Slight sourness. Spices and alcohol are well balanced. Not a big taste. Hops are allmost hidden and then sneak out from under your tongue. Tastes better with each sip. Refreshing.

Apply and lemony nose sprinkled with light spices. Spiced baked apples, apricot pie, biscuits and rising dough flavors. Finish has some bitterness and some dry spicy candy notes.
