Spicy, strong beer, made in Montreal by Cheval Blanc under license to Achouffe. Similar to, but not the same as, the classic La Chouffe.

Interesting , nice spicy taste. Head was gone quickly, wheat but not wheat.Taste was great, found the taste a bit "light", over all good not great. But I would take another, another time. Not sure why it needs to be 8% tastes like much lighter.

Évaluation no. 67 Février 2011.

Bravo, bravo, bravo!

2013/08/29 - Pours a hazy, light copper/orange colour with a thin white head that reduces quickly. Aroma is spice, coriander, citrus and bubblegum (similar to a hefeweizen). Taste is similar to nose with emphasis on the spices (coriander, cinnamon and cloves) and a slightly boozy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium with smooth carbonation and a dry finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ery decent. Done well for style, good imitation of the normal chouffe. Cloudy blonde with ok head and lacing. Some florals and coriander. Light sweet malt finish. Bottle in my buddy’s fridge.

Pours a very hazy yellow-orange with a very long-lasting medium height lathery head. Aroma is great with biscuits and chutney and apple-blossoms. A little heavy/syrupy in the mouth with the high alcohol content quite pronounced. The liveliness promised by the nose is not paid by the mouth, as the flavor is somewhat muted and a little too bitter for the style. I’d rather drink a large pint of Coup de Grisou instead of a bottle of d’Achoffe for the equivalent alcohol content.
