Spicy coriander aroma. Hazy pale yellow. Flavor is a match, lots of coriander, in the end this comes off sort of as a big spicy witbier. Nice. Not as good as the original, but nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange colour. Little head that faded fast. Bitter scent. Citrus and a ton of spice (cinamon and ginger). Gingerbread like. Very spicy taste. Not strong tasting. Spice reminds me of a pumpkin ale. Thick. Slight alcohol taste that grows in the finish.

Not as good as her cousin La Chouffe but a good interpretation. Cloudy with a lot of lee flakes. Spicy and fruity aromas. Great sweet taste with a little bitterness.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Originally rated April 2005. This "La Chouffe" imitation pours a hazy white-golden colour with some head, but no retention. The lacing left is quite small as well. The aroma though is quite something. Oranges (citrus), yeast and spices. The taste is spicy with coriander, yeasty and with some bubble gum finish. Smooth and mostly flat mouthfeel, very enjoyable and refreshing. Great spicy strong brew.
