660mL bottle from a trade with a friend in Montreal. Thanks Dan! I love how Quebec brewers give you that extra 10mL in their bombers, it makes all the difference. This one pours a nice hazy brownish red with a small surface film. Aroma at first hits with too much of that weird chemical plastic character I get with a lot of Quebecois brews, but you get used to it and there’s some really nice spicy yeast quality on top of toffee caramalt. Similar to a good Wit. Flavour has some nice rich toffee and caramalt, salt, mild booze, and that same nice yeast character. Subtle spice, as well as the plastic. Feels medium on the palate with some considerable spitzy carbonation, though nothing over-the-top. Pretty solid beer, glad it was brought to me to enjoy.
