Albertson’s Liquor Store, Tallahassee, Fl. - 12 oz bottle. Darl copper pour, tight white head. Brief maple syrup aroma, faint hints of spruce. Some nuttiness in the flavor with a bit of muted citrus and a bit of ripening vegetables in the finish. Slightly artificial tasting though. Mouthfeel, thick enough. Drinkable and would do in a pinch.

12 oz brown screwtop bottle found at Shaw’s in Augusta of all places. I was rather impressed with the bottle. It was nice looking enough, but on the front it says "Roasted malt and creamy. Marzen style" They obviously know their market. That, and they’re trying for an Octoberfest beer but doing it as an ale, but are overtly obvious about it unlike some American brewers who make some worthwhile Octoberfest beers. Anyway... Orange-red body with rather thin and quickly dissipating head. Smells malty with a definite floral hop presence - a really good smell. Tastes malty but not overly so, with a supporting hop presence. Reminds me somewhat of an Irish red. A little lighter flavored than I thought it would be, but very very well balanced. Very drinkable too. I hope this is a year-round offering. I’ll be getting it again

The aroma has nuts, corn malt, resin hops, metal, and alcohol. The appearance is amber with a nice big head. The flavor is sweet with caramel and astringent bitter hops. The aftertaste is chemical and sweet. The palate is thin so I am not overly crazy about it. The beer is just poorly done no matter what style it really is.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a thin off-white head, zero lacing. A bit musty smelling, sort of sour with some evident hops. Strangely sour up front with a very dry hoppiness and little body. A nasty mettalic taste is obvious throughout. It felt nice in the mouth which was the beers high point.

Woody, musty malt aroma with light caramel. Spectacular microbrew cap and label - kudos to the folks in the marketing department. Oaky orange-gold beer with a substantial buff head. Dry, pretty bitter, somewhat acidic, parched malt flavors. Yeasty, crisp finish. The occasional metallic barb. Pretty drinkable, but this isn’t a favorite style of mine. Thanks to Brent for saving me one out.

New in town at Albertson’s. <!-- P --> Aroma is a spritzy, malty afair with some off putting dusty notes. Body is a clean amber color and holds a creamy thumb thick white head. Stale, slightly skunked fore gives way to a mildly sweet smooth malt base. Has some mildly molasseses/bready notes in the finish. Not something I’d go after again personally.

Pours a nice hazy orange. Aromas of caramel, hint of fruit and hops. Nice creamy malt taste with a nice hop bitterness.

Certainly not a Marzen, as frankenkitty aptly points out. That being said, what the heck is a Marzen style ale? This brew poured a copper/amber body with a slender head. The aroma has lightly roasted, sweet malts, hand lotion, and a nutty bitterness. Well carbonated. The flavor is sugary sweet, malty, and has a slight herbal bitterness in the finish. This is the weakest of this line that I’ve had to date.

Not much aroma.I thought I smelled some candy .but it disappeared after I took a sip.Head small and short lived-the MINUTEMAN beer!Color was brown. It tasted of a decent body, but no real flavor jumping out at you.Good reds should have a distinct candy-like aggressive initial flavor. This has the body but no brains-like a dumb blonde!Ha !ha1It seems like a somewhat flat full-bodied beer with a flavor of barley.Love it and leave it!

Smells nice, like an APA. A surprising amount of hops in the finish, but quite a bit of malts at the start. I wonder why these guys fail to label any of their beers correctly.
