3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
It’s been an unusual week, and it’s only Wednesday. 6 new beers at the *Albertson’s*, for goodness’ sakes - and I’m becoming convinced that Andy Kaufman is actually alive and hidden out in a trailer someplace watching satellite television. As for the beer -- sweet, soft, citrus-floral nose with some candy. Very well-done label and cap, clear orange beer with a huge khaki head. Bitter orange marmalade-peel bitter, medium sweetness, candyish at times. Medium to medium-heavy mouth, very long medium-heavy bitter aftertaste. Sweet on the lips. This did alright.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
355ml bottle pours a light golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves only a few specks of lacing behind. Aroma is light citrus and caramel. Taste is a mild caramel sweetness with a light citrus and grassy hop bitterness with hints of other light fruits. A very mild pale ale that needs a bit more substance. Not recommended.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours with an initially one-finger thick, tan colored head that sits atop an almost brilliantly clear, reddish amber colored beer. The aroma is hop forward with a mix of green herbaceous notes and citrus. Notes of grapefruit and orange mingle with pine and perhaps a touch of menthol. The hop character is a touch green, I am not quite sure what it is, but it is slightly off-putting (though it is quite subtle). Perhaps it is something like a green onion not, but I am not positive. There is a touch of toasty, biscuit-like malt character towards the end of the aroma, but you really have to dig for it to be noticeable.
Lightly sweet up front, solid caramelized crystal malt notes keep this from being dry. Sweet citrus hop notes also add to the perception of sweetness. Notes of orange and a touch of grapefruit make up the fruity notes. For some reason the flavors in this beer taste a bit wan to me, not sure why though. There is that same, almost onion-like hop note from the aroma and it tends to distract a bit. This is quite an easy drinking beer, and part of me likes it quite a bit, it is just that at times there are some distracting notes to this that don’t quite jive. I do like that the brewer was not shy with the hops, lots of hop character is in this beer, enough to make the malt only play a supporting role. In the end I am definitely enjoying this beer, so there you go.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bready honey aroma. Clear amber with a medium head, some lacing. Flavor of grain and dried leaves with subtle honeycomb notes. Spinach and parsley finish. Absolutely not full bodied. Coming from City Brewery, I feared the worst but it’s a pretty good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a nice orangish color. Aroma is grassy hops. Flavor of a classic pale, big grassy hop flavor.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Purchased at Albertsons in Clarkston, Washington, this poured clear amber with a foamy head and good lacing. Nose of caramel malts and citrus and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is good balance of malts and hops. Light bitter finish. Decent APA.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an orangish color with a white head. You got some sugary malts in the nose. Not really a hoppy beer, but there are some hops to be had. More on the malty side of things. Overall, there is just nothing impressive about this beer. It is bland and average. Although, compared to other beers put out by City Brewing, this beer is amazing (I’m looking at you Lucky Number 711).

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle poured into a pint glass. Poured out a dark amber almost brown colour. Medium tan head that quickly dissolves into a film with decent lacing. Aroma is light hops. More bitterness than floral hops in the flavour, with a strange middle/after-taste ?saki?.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I stared to sip this beer and I was surprised to find it too sweet for the kind of beer. it malts were unpleasant with unappealing citrus and malts. The taste seems too artifical.
