COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A finely-bubbled beer made from wheat and barley. Like the traditional Belgian "White" it is refreshing, light and slightly fruity. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavor.

Not to be confused with the separate Blanche made by the brewpub Cheval Blanc.

New bottles do not feature "de blé" anymore, but simply La Blanche and Cheval Blanc.

Keg at The Henry House, Halifax. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is soft, toasty grain, wheat, coriander, white bread, cereal and straw. The taste is crisp, bitter, grassy, herbal, straw, minerals, wheat, minerals, earth and light lactic notes with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Well-rounded. Not a whole lot to it really, but drinkable enough.

Una Blanche di buon livello. Colore giallo paglierino con sottile schiuma. Bene l’aroma speziato.

En bouche, je dirais tout simplement "what you smell is what you taste". La carbonatation vigoureuse en fait une bière très rafraîchissante, mais sans artifices.

Bottle version. Pretty classic wheat character, mostly lemony banana bread, a bit simple and on the light side if anything.

On tap (4 oz) @ L’Hermite.

Appearance: Clear pale yellow/golden with a small white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Light cloves/spiciness, hints of citrus, banana notes and mild hay.

Taste: Mild clove/coriander with a decent malt backbone, light acidity and hints of orange.

Palate: Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Mild cloves finish.

Overall: Average Wit. The spices aren’t cloying, which is good, but the beer is rather bland even for a Wit.

Pale golden in colour, white coloured head that was fairly quickly to dissipate, average lacing. The aroma is of bananas, lemons and some light spice. The flavour is of yeast, citrus, wheat, bananas and spice, some lemons. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes mid length, crisp, lightly spicy.

This wheat poured a cloudy light yellow colour with a fast dissipating head. Scents include orange citrus, eggs, yeast and light hop. First swig was quite watery with flavours of orange citrus and light hope. Quite refreshing.

A bottle from my friend Pete, thanks! Pours a cloudy yellow with a persistent finger of white head. Nose wheat, bubblegum, little citrus. Taste of yeast, citrus, little grass. Nice.
