3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Usual yeast Cheval Blanc flavor which is a good thing. A bit of lemon in this nice white colored brew. Very refreshing, not too bad for a style (Belgian White) that seems to go out of favour with brewer...

A touch citrusy and a bit dry and crisp. Very nice, although it was fizzier than I might have liked.

(Bottle) Pours a thin, quick dissipating, white head and a cloudy lemon-meringue body. Yeast nose with slight lemon. Lemony flavour with a bitter finish. Nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
hazy yellow, foamy white head. aroma of lemon zest and yeast. ditto for the flavour with a mild bitter finish. not bad, but a straight forward wit.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy amber, minimal head. Very nice, pleasant aroma, nice soft light Belgian wit. The flavour got some peanuts some fresh wheat. Nicely done, I like it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy light yellow below a white head. Nose is yeasty and citrusy. The body is orangey with light hops poking through. A touch of citrus carries through into the drying finish. Not one of the best of this style.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2003 Remind me a little of Unibroue BLanche de chambly, but not as good, not very flavored. The disgusting Cheval blanc yeast is ruining it all...

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My first taste of this beer was on tap on a mild summer night in Montreal, and it was lovely. Out of the bottles that I brought back from Quebec, it’s not quite as good, but still a pleasant summer brew with the classic carucao and coriander flavours.

The ’dirty’ cheval blanc yeast distracts this otherwise fine beer. Orange carucao and coriander. Considering the Wit is my favorite style, this was a disapointing beer.
