COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A finely-bubbled beer made from wheat and barley. Like the traditional Belgian "White" it is refreshing, light and slightly fruity. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavor.

Not to be confused with the separate Blanche made by the brewpub Cheval Blanc.

New bottles do not feature "de blé" anymore, but simply La Blanche and Cheval Blanc.

Light citrus aroma. Light sweet taste. Nothing very special about it but very refreshing. Does what a white should do.

Bomber. Brings back fond memories as I think this one of the, if not the beer that introduced me to micros - so thanks to Martin and others in Montreal who went to university at McGill and Concordia and so brought me closer to being a beer nerd! Pale but vibrant yellow with a generous white head. Some yeast, grains, banana, hints of clove and coriander. Good carbonation, good body for a wit, some cloves for sure, becomes a little thin on the finish, sweet throughout with a bit of dryness at the end. A decent "white" and a great introductory beer.

Hard to find on the site but the commercial description matches. Lightly clouded bright golden yellow with a small head. Very nice aroma. Light yeast and tasty banana scent. Refreshing drink with a solid mouthfeel. Light yeast but not dusty. Not strong flavours but nicely balanced light lemon and banana.

Well, this says it isn’t available in a bottle, but this is what my bottle said, and the link above sure ain’t right. In any case, aroma is coriander, slight citrus and grain, some sweetness. Looks like a Hoegaarden, very pale yellow. Flavor is a match to the aroma. Had this back to back with the Unibroue Blanche de Chambly, and this just doesn’t compare well. Not bad. Touch prickly in the mouth. Probably better because drinking this in Montreal while watching Canadiens hockey.

341 ml bottle, graciously gifted by my friend Tom - pours a cloudy light pale straw colour with a thin bleached-white head. Aroma has lemon and a bit of coriander, also some sulphur, which is acceptable in this style. Flavour is fairly straightforward, verging on bland. Blink-and-you’ll-miss-it finish. Body is fairly thin. Ok, but not an exceptional example of the style.
