crushinat0r (226), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 28, 2007 Blondish, hazy, light head. Smells hoppy and spicy with a hint of fruit. Tastes quite smooth, spicy, coriander, hoppy. Very consistent and very unique.
MrManning (1448), London, Ontario, Canada Jun 4, 2008 12 oz bottle- Deep hazy orange/amber with a generous froth of white head. Nice lace too. The nose is all out spices, lots of corriander and cardamon?and floral with wheaty, fruity sweet malts, with a good dose of apricot. It’s all pretty messy though. Taste is sweet apricot and wheaty, yeasty spices with corriander coming through in a big way. All about the corriander. Finish is creamy which WOULD leave this quite drinkable if not for the spices. This is too spicy and messy to be able to enjoy any more than 1 bottle.Dunkelweizen? Right. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 2, 2008 12oz bottle purchased from Metro Joanette in Montreal. Pours a cloudy light straw. Nice yeasty, peppery aroma. First taste is on the thin side. A bit of yeast, but not much in the way of spices or fullness. The flavour doesn’t seem to be improving as it goes on. I’ve had this in the past, but not for a while. I had thought I remembered this beer being better than this, but perhaps I’m confusing it with a different beer. But you’d think I’d remember a buckwheat beer... I will try to resample when I get the chance.
Lots of spices in the aroma, some corrander, and a touch of cloves. MUch more of the same in the flavour with some yeastiness to it. Hmmm......not much on the german style of a weizen, more like a dark belgian wit. onomatopee (34), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Feb 28, 2008 Bière de couleur blonde, plutôt trouble. Elle possède des arômes invitantes de fruits, notamment d’agrumes, et d’épices. Goût de sarrasin, de coriandre et d’orange. Une de mes préférées en ce qui concerne les bières faites au Québec.
