Je n’aime pas vraiment les bières épicées mais celle ci est très bonne en petite quantité

Drank in a trappist glass. Orange copper poor with almost no head. Aromas of pink grapefruit, rhubarb, orange peelings, cherries, pine, sweet bread, a little floral... Well it tastes what you smell... mostly you get the sourness and acid mouthfeel of the grapefruit and the cranberries. There’s a spicy twist to it as well, add a nice cinnamonish aftertaste at the end... Awkward, yet very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy bright orange body with a creamy large white head. The aroma reminds of a triple, what with all of the apples and general fruits, lots of potpourri spices too. Tart and spicy to say the least. Flavour starts out with some sweetish malt but then the tart fruit (cranberry, cherry) overtake it very quickly. Very dry finish. Interesting but it’s not so easy to drink a lot of it.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber ale with light pink tinge to it in my glass. Two finger rocky cap reduced quickly...modest lacing. Spme "floaties" from settlings look unapatizing. Aroma was weird: The Cranberrys and some spice notes were there and so was the grain but there was an over powering vegital aroma like spoiled celery..weird Some malty sweeness starts out but is quickly balanced by tart cranberry tones, no hops seem present...sour and overpowered with the spoiled veggie tastes. I suspect I got a spoiled/over date sample...I will revisit this beer in the winter when I go to Montreal.

Light white head. Orange beer with a few chunks. Funky restaurant aroma makes me think of cooking meat and tangerines. Thick cranberry cheesecake flavour and a tart cranberry cheesecake finish.

Une broue à l’arrière gout plus dévelloppé que le gout lui-même. Beaucoup de corps avec une part d’onctuosité. Après un verre, on a l’agréable impression de fraicheur qui suit une journée de pleine air hivernale.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy, very bubbly, orange-pink with an average size diminishing creamy white (with some pink) head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, tart fruit, some malt and spices. Flavour took me by surprise, I was not expecting it to be this tart -- I like it, it’s just not what I expected after that aroma. Flavour of Belgian yeast, cranberries, citrus, spices and a sweet almost bubble-gum-like flavour. The alcohol is well hidden and it has an almost syrupy mouthfeel. Another unique RJ beer, I like it, I know it’s brewed for Winter but it would be a nice Summer patio beer. Note: Towards the end of the bottle it poured REALLY pink: a dark pink body with a light-pink head.
