2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear brown body and a nearly nonexistant head. Malty, lighlty toasty, caramel aroma. Thin watery palate. Inital flavor of malt and caramel - quickly fades away. Nearly nonexistant aftertaste - just a little sweetness. Not that impressive of a brown ale.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Brewed in the USA...... Courtesy of AFI96, thanks Waylo !! pours a chestnut / mahogany color with an ultra thin off white head. Aroma of roasted malts and caramel. Taste of toast and nuts. The mouthfeel is kind of dry & chalky. It is not the cure for the beer blahs.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours clear mahogony with almost no head. The smell was a lightly roasted with a hint of sour peach. Maybe a sanitation issue? Very little flavor, just a hint of toast. Watery palate, slightly chalky. Possibly the worst one in the variety case.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz bottle, from Charleston Beer Exchange. Pours amber brown, with a small tan head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malt, and some chocolate. Flavor is quite underwhelming, there’s a small amount of caramel, chocolate and tobacco, but not much else. Thin bodied and watery. It’s not a BAD beer, just really unremarkable.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Chestnul and light maple syrup aroma. Dingy brown, thin off white head. Nutty with a pronounced bitterness. Coffee notes in the end. Thin mouthfeel. Good tasting, but somewhat disjointed.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 50th rating for this brew. Toasty malt with a little of that spaghetti sauce funk I only find in the odd English hop and German Kellerbier. Walnut pour, still a bit light, with clingy, rocky tan head. Taste initially promises dryness but soon becomes cloying. Light toasty funk with some nuttiness. Light body, generally smooth and very creamy. Aftertaste dries out somewhat. Little earth, buttery without the diacetyl. Surprised how much I liked this one (and I did!).

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
THOUGHTS: Nice beer, but nothing special. Fairly easy to drink, but very complex.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium to dark reddish brown with a small, light tan head that mostly diminished. The aroma was OK but very weak. There was light to moderate caramel and nutty malts, very light hops and slight cola. The initial flavor was slightly sour and lightly sweet; while the finish was sweet and ever so slightly bitter with a short duration. There was not much balance. There was caramel malt, nuttiness, a little sour malt, a hint of chocolate and ever so slight hops. The medium body was like watered down syrup with fizzy carbonation and a light astringent and slightly metallic finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear brown with an average sized off-white head.
Caramel malt aroma.
Light sweetness, a bit of hop dryness but no hop flavor or aroma. A bit of carbonic acid bite to the palate, effervescent and light bodied.
