COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional English-style brown ale, but with more body. Its deep brown color comes from a combination of Chocolate and Black malts. Tall, dark and smooth – the perfect cure for the domestic beer blahs. 5.6% abv

Courtesy of Nick76. The aroma has a pretty strong chocolate/caramel kick. The body is a muddy amber/brown and holds a lazy, near non-existant- tan head. The fore is mild caramel and chocolate and a faint hint of watered down bourbon oddly enough. Fairly low carbonation and a bit of a hop nibble on the back of the tongue as you swallow. Hints of vanilla in the aftertaste. There is a sort of soda spritzyness to this despite the low carbonation that reminds me of biting into star fruit and as the other Rocker beer I had sort of had this element too I suspect it is a house effect/flavor.

on tap @HopfestNC-pours a disappering off white head and copper color. Aroma is mild medium malt. Taste is medium malt, finishes with some caramel and faint English/flat hops. Mild carbonation.

Columbia, SC - Flying Saucer - on draft. Light orange pour. Strong, prominent vanilla accents in the aroma. Vanilla notes carry over to the flavor with some butterscotch accents. Creamy, thick mouthfeel. Would have a pint of this if I stayed longer.

Good dark brown color. The fun ends there. Decent chocolate caramel smell. Weak thin watery malt flavor. This beer is unimpressive. I could knock them back all night because of the lack of mouthfeel and the all around wateriness but I could do the same with Bud Light.

Sampled at world beer festival. Pours brown with a small light beige head. Aroma of slight roastedness, nuts, and citrus. Flavor is malty, sweet, nutty, slight roast, a little watered down, but still good.

Pours a dark brown color with a malty flavor. The brown is a decent example and is something id like to drink again

these guys are funny! good company makes even mediocre beers seem better. the brown was a little lacking (this seems to be a pattern among NC brewed brown ales). malty tasting and flavor. not too hoppy. sampled at brewgrass 04 on draught.

Sampled at Charlotte Oktoberfest ’04. Medium brown body, slightly off-white head. Flavor was roasty with medium hops in the finish. An average brown.
