3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Served from bottle into a shaker. Pours a dark brown with a minimal off-white head. Maintained good lacing thoughout. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and nutty notes. The flavor followed the nose with light roasted malt and nutty characters. It was light on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was not a bad brew. However, the flavors of this one were quite muted for some odd reason, as it warmed up they came out a little more but were still not pronounced. Still a nice brown ale that is worth trying.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a minimal beige head. Aroma is mainly malty, with perhaps hints of dark fruits. Taste is sweet caramel malt and is also very nutty (maybe chestnuts) and bitter, to the point of being rather unpleasant. Disappointing.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma: simply malty with no other notes; Appearance: chocolate brown with no head -- at all; Taste: strong chocolate and malt, but not in a good way; somewhat watery with an odd tasting finish; Palate: medium body with little carbonation; Overall: not very pleasant; would not buy again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Caramel color with a small head. The aroma mild with caramel. The flavor is more caramel. A bit thin but a tasty brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A rather chocolate like aroma. The color is a quite dark opaque brown. The chocolate carries over to the taste as well, but with not much of an after taste.
A decent beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle - Good nut brown flavor, not heavy on the malt which is good. For a brown ale: smooth, light, slightly crisp with hints of toasted notes. Pretty good all things considered on this brown ale.

Draft pour into a pint glass. Pours a clear brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma lends some sweet caramel notes and mild fruits. Taste is moderately sweet. Medium carbonation and low to medium body. Not bad, but mostly not good.

12 oz bottle This is the first of my 12 beers per month as a gift from AOPD.
The ale poured a clear reddish brown color with a light tan head and lacing. Nutty and bready malts greet you. The taste is more complex with some chocolate and toasted malts. The ale has a light body and average carbonation. A nice brown ale with a clean dry finish to the last swallow.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This had a huge, unmanageable foamy head that took forever to shrink. Deep copper color with a light grainy nose. Very carbonated on the tongue. Taste of wet grains, old toast and a bit of a tartness that I found off putting. Not much to recommend this beer.
