COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional English-style brown ale, but with more body. Its deep brown color comes from a combination of Chocolate and Black malts. Tall, dark and smooth – the perfect cure for the domestic beer blahs. 5.6% abv

Pours a dark brown with a thick, sudsy, off-white head. Aromas of brown sugar and caramel malts. Flavor is a bit creamy and the malts pretty much dominate, but it’s rather one dimensional and run of the mill. Drinkable, but forgettable.

Bottle at home. Pours cloudy and particulate brown with a huge, frothy light beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is nutty, light chocolate, toasty and bready malt, dates, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is medium hops and moderate bitterness, sweet chocolate, toasty, nutty, and bready malt with light date notes and a dry finish. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. This is a bit over-carbonated.

Pours a deep brown with a cream colored head. Aroma is roasted chocolate. Taste is roasted chocolate with a slight tart note that finishes dark and brown.

Best part of the beer... an impressive head. Light hop aroma, taste is slight hop unbalance and astringent grain very light. Thin on the tongue, not much body. Light sweetness. Craft beer Blah.

Good not great but brown ales are not my favorite anyway. Dark brown in color small to medium off white head. Aroma is lite not much to say here.

10/8/13. 12oz bottle from a mix 12pk from Warehouse. Opened this and a Patriot Pale Ale and they were both gushers. Ugh. Original pour was about an inch of hazy amber beer with 5 inches of tan head, even after a careful pour. Eventually it settles and we have a smaller head that fizzes away fast. Lightly tart, dusty apple aroma, like fresh, warm apple cider, with a bit of cardboardy caramel. Mediocre flavor as well, apples and caramel with a dash of cardboard. This really reminds me of inexperienced extract homebrew.

Woody brown with a huge, light tan head. Nutty, chocolate aroma. Malty, creamy chocolate, caramel. Sweet, roasty.... Not bad.

Draft->shaker. Medium brown with foamy offwhite head. Malt, wet hay, grains, cereal. Messy and too sweet.

Pours almost a ruby red when held to light. Took me 5 minutes just to get it poured, lots of fluffy head. Smells of nut, caramel, and malt, the malt being the strongest. Tastes sweet, with caramel and dark chocolate with a roasty finish on it. Not very dense, pretty smooth actually. Not bad but nothing stands out to make it fantastic either. Not bad overall though for my first RJ Rocker brew.
