Bottle; poured a dull amber color. Aroma of caramel, alcohol, generic sweetness, and vanilla. Flavor was strong, but rather boring. Hopping was in the background and only emerged briefly. Bready and sweet.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2014 12 oz bottle served in a pint glass. No indication of beer style on the label. Were it just a bit less sweet, Iíd guess DIPA. A - Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a modest tan head that has great retention and leaves some lacing. S - Has a sweet and fruity (spicy citrus) aroma with the high ABV fairly well hidden. Sweet malt base. T - Sweet and malty up front with hints of orange hard candy. Plenty of hops in there too, athough more might be better given the heavy sweetness. Rather than balancing nicely, the sweetness and bitterness seem to battle each other with the early dominance of sweetness eventually losing out to hop bitterness in the bittersweet finish. Alcohol is hidden except in a slight warming sensation and a very mild tongue burn. M: Full body with very good carbonation. Sticky. No ill effects of the alcohol. O: A bold and flavorful beer that is reminiscent of Bellís Hopslam, albeit much sweeter and less finely crafted. In fact, my main reservation about this beer is that it seemed a bit roughly put together, like a decent homebrew. Some of that impression comes from the high levels of both sweetness and bitterness, with the bitter losing out until the aftertaste. It also lacks the complexity of a world class brew. Still, as a local brew it is about about half the price of Hopslam. Worth a try, for sure. (from Sept. 2011 notes)

Pours a translucent golden color and appears rather cloudy. Smells sweet and slightly inviting, but itís very thin and rather bitter. Iím not kidding when I say it tastes and looks like three year old skunked Steel Reserve. It seems, these days for every good craft brewer, there are two turds.

Pours a hazy copper color with a light white, thin head. Aroma is citrusy and tart. Hint of alcohol too. Flavor is strongly hoppy, but not overpowered. Lemon with a hint of pine. Good solid brew overall. Finishes clean.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper, thin tan lacing. Mild aroma, caramel malts dominate. Medium sweet taste, actually picked up on a hint of fruit. Medium body but texture was too thin. Carbonation was below average so it lacked that crispness in the finish. Alcohol masked pretty well. Overall this was pretty good but has potential to be better.

Standard forgettable brew. Pours a cloudy brown with a small head. Taste is fine, but nothing spectacular.

12-oz. Pours a hazy medium amber with a loose white head. Nitrogenous laundry nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Mild amber and toasted caramel mid palate. Nitrogen knocking around. Soft finish.

Pours a light copper color with lots of head which hung around for a while. There is also LOTS of floaties. There is some decent lacing. Aroma is caramel malt with some breadiness. Taste follows the nose with just a slight bitterness in the finish. Overall a decent beer and much better than I expected for some reason. Maybe it is the very commercial sounding name that had me thinking the worst. I will have to try some of the other beers from this brewery.

Pours hazy copper w/ some small particles hanging. A small off white head leaves some lacing. Aromas and flavors are caramel malts and brown sugar with earthy/spicey and pine hops. Well balanced and finishes slightly bitter and dry. Very drinkable and easy drinking which can get you in trouble.
