Bottle at home, thanks to someone. Gotta do a better job labeling beers from trades. Thanks anyways whoever! Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma is cocoa, roasted malts, vanilla, licorice. More of a stout aroma, not much hop presence. Taste is cocoa, toast, licorice, faint pine and a moderately bitter finish. Pretty good. Heavy body, medium carbonation. Not a bad beer, but not really a clear "IPA" in my opinion. More of a bitter stout. Bitterness seems to come from cocoa or dark chocolate versus hops. But who knows, Iím not a brewer. Iím just a dickhead on a couch. Literally.

Norfolk bottle during the CC course at Langley. Nice dark chestnut color with a brown head. Interesting aroma with some molasses, a hint of hops but also a medicinal kick. Nice flavor that has some chocolate to go with a lingering, hoppy bitterness. Nice.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2015 Multi dimension beer. Starts with a burst of flavor then slight bitter then eases into a chocolate coffee. Dark coloring. Had on tap.

This is more like an imperial stout than a dark ipa... Iím not complaining--Itís got a rich roasty aroma. Taste is an entire bar of dark chocolate with hits of citrusy goodness (almost acidic like dark chocolate). Finish is only somewhat bitter...certainly more of a get you on stage item rather than the whole showcase...

Interesting beer. Pours a medium-dark brown with khaki colored head and lacing. Flavors of roasted malt, vanilla, licorice, bittering hops, coffee, booze, sugar.

Black with light brown head. Aroma of chocolate and orange citrus hop. Very chocolatey roast up front/ start is like a stout. Finish is black ipa; piney floral herbal hop with lingering chocolate. Interesting combo of stout flavors and ipa character. Enjoyable.

Keg at Craft Conundrum, Charleston, 18/02/15. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light roast, bitter hops, earthy, liquorice. Taste comprises more liquorice notes, spice, earthy, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Lower end of the CDA spectrum for me but drinkable none the less.

Bottle. Black with a very thin tan/orange head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, and a hint of mint. Medium body, roasted malt, hint of burnt malt astringency, moderate hop bitterness, slight alcohol warmth, and a astringent bitter finish.

Poured into traditional pint glass with etching, resulting in foam over. Fluffy tan head over deep black. Nose not notable, but the flavor! Opens sweet with mild bitterness close behind.
