Draft. Pours orange with a white head. The aroma has spices and sweet malts. The flavor has well balanced festive spices, sweet malts, and a light bitterness. Pretty good.

Bottle poured into dimpled mug. Nice golden color edging its way towards copper. Nearly finger-thick soapy white head thins out mostly but does stick around a good while. Aroma has earthy hops, nutmeg, slight caramel and an out of place funk/barnyard thing going on. Taste is a little better, thin on the palate. More nutmeg in the flavor followed by some hops and cinnamon-laced cloying finish. Decent but nothing special. The spices are pretty solid but not much else there.

Strong cinnamon and a light amount of caramel. Clear orange color with a small white head. Very light bitter beginning with a sweet finish.

Regular lager well brewed. Looks good in the glass. Certainly drinkable and respectable as a beer, as a winter beer not much too it something is missing. Slight nutmeg pumpkin spice taste as is goes down thats the best thing going for it. Sam Adams winter is even better than this. Drinkable but not something I would seek out.

Bottle. Cloudy golden with a light clingy head. Aroma is mild, some spices are evident but not much. Complex taste and flavors released -- nutmeg and clove is present but not overdone. Pretty mild overall with a pretty short finish. Not bad, would do again.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of ginger-snaps, butter, spice, pumpkin, and a little nutmeg. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of butter, spices, ginger, ginger-snaps, pumpkin, and some cloves. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Pumpkin, ginger, spice, finish is lightly dry.

Cloudy orange pour with a creamy white head. Spicy aroma with clove, cinnamon and some honey and citrus. Honey, cinnamon, citrus, and a clove ending. Decent beer.

On the first day of Christmas 2011 I drank the first snow day ale which pours burnt orange with a white head. Aroma is caramel, honey, nutmeg and citrus. Taste is sweet with light bitters on the finish. Light mouthfeel with some stickyness. Oerall this was much better as it warmed, the aroma and flavor was lacking at first. Somewhat metallic aftertaste.

Bottle. Didnt pour it in a glass, looked somewhat pale through the bottle. Full of cinnamon and spices, a little bit of hops. Somewhat bland in the world of winter beers. Glad I only bought a single. However, still glad that I bought local!
