3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap at the brewery.
Nice peach/amber color with a very good head. Aroma is predominantly peach jam, with a similar taste until the more bitter-malty-hoppy finish. Well hidden ABV.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 ounce bottle - $2.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Bottled on: 05/29/2014
Appearance: Pours an amber-golden body strewn with some fine particulates and capped with nearly an inch of off-white foam.
Smell: Displays a bready, moderately sweet-scented aroma drenched in nostril prickling alcohol, giving an ill sign of things to come.
Taste: Bready, honey-glazed maltiness with a full-on fruity dose of peach puree, a couple drops of vanilla, and a big pop of low-grade schnapps which easily borders on a stinging, medicinal quality which mercifully drags out into the aftertaste and settles into a belly-warming tincture.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Minor stickiness present.
Overall: With a sneer, R.J. Rockers asked of Son of a Peach, "who’s your daddy?" Apparently, it’s this boozy deadbeat asshole.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy reddish amber with a light tan foamy head. Aroma of peach schnapps. A little oxidation (must be the bottle). Taste is sweet and peachy up front with a a growing tartness from the middle on that also displays the more sour side of peaches. As an imperial the higher ABV is nicely masked. A little tart, but refreshing and no alcohol burn.

A horrible beer! Had high hopes after loving 'Son of a Peach'! This has a string alcohol taste and was poured down the drain!

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft sampler at District Pi in DC. Pours a cloudy orange-gold with small white head. Overwhelming peaches and booze. Like a chewy, syrupy, bready peach schnapps. Not good at all.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2014 Original rating was On tap at the 2012 Brewgrass Beer Festival in Asheville, NC, when the working title was "imPeachment". Now that the recipe is slightly different and is mass-produced, I will amend my rating. This Pours a hazy deep orange into the glass, with a wispy head that fully diminishes, leaving trace lacing. The nose is of fresh peaches. Flavors are extremely peachy, with a creamy essence proved by the soft carbonation texture. A peach candy flavor finishes the pull, along with a touch of well-hidden alcohol warmth. The body is medium, the mouthfeel oily, with a light liveliness to the palate provided by semi-soft carbonation and the alcoholic kiss at the end of the pull. If you’re in the mood for a sweet aperitif, your palate may not want to like it, but your sweet tooth will make you grin sipping it. A guilty pleasure, for sure.

Did our own beer tasting at our favorite craft brew place, and out of about 10 good beers, this one won out. Great beer.
