22 ounce thanks to Seth. Little head. Flat malt bill. A bit underwhelming for the style. Maybe not very fresh either.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Has a nice hoppy aroma. Pours amber with a thin white head. Doesn’t leave a lot of lacing. Nice grapefruit on the tongue but theres obviously some maltiness balancing it out since it’s not overpowering which is too bad. Kind of thin on the finish.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
I had high hopes for this brew, got it on sale in IOP, SC, but it kinda sucks. Taste like heavy old bread and lots of booze, with a twangy after taste. I am only drinking it for the buzz at this point. Too bad cause there other beers are great.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Amber pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is bready, grains and tropical fruit. Grainy flavor, yeasty, buttery. The off flavors actually take away from the hops. Bitter and dry but, im not sure if its just astringent or another flaw

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber pours dark amber with an off white head. Aroma is caramel and old citrusy hops. Flavor is light sweet caramel, bitter, citrusy hops. Seems this might be old. No way to know with no date on the bottle, but this was "not a tongue-twisting treat for the hophead in me"

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a reddish brown with small white head. Some particles suspended. Aroma is raisins, hops and some yeast. Medium body, good carbonation. Plenty of hops, grapefruit, some sweetness with a nice bitter finish, but not too overpowering. Overall a tasty IPA, especially if you like it on the hoppy side.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
THOUGHTS: Rather nice. R.J. Rockers continues to surprise me. This had the balance of a double IPA in the style constraints of an ordinary IPA. It was fairly simple, but put together in the right proportions.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium to dark, orangey amber with a small, off-whte head that left good lacing. It also had small, medium and large particles of a thick density in the body. It was bottle conditioned. The aroma had moderate caramel malt; light bread and grain; moderate to heavy pine, grapefruit and orange hops; and burnt toast with jam. The initial flavor was moderate to heavily sweet and fairly bitter; while the finish was rather sweet and rather to heavily bitter with a long duration. There was citrus hops, caramel, brunt caramel, orange and a little burnt toast bitterness. It go very citrusy near the end. The medium to full body was slightly oily, a bit syrupy and then dry with fizzy carbonation and an ever so slightly alcoholic finish.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a 70s amber (cloudy and super funky!) with lots o’ chunks of yeast in the bottom. Aroma is weird; raw, freshly carved pumpkin. That’s it. It smells like a freshly carved pumpkin. Flavor is semi-floral hops with a finish of, drum roll, FRESHLY CARVED PUMPKIN. What is going on here? Is this a pumpkin IPA? It’s not bad; in fact, it’s pretty good. A nice bit of mouth-puckering grapefruit intermingles with said pumpkin and keeps things on the bitter/sour side. Decent mouthfeel, a little thin and carbonated, yes, but decent. Not bad.
