This 100% barley malt beer is blended with roasted malts and hops to five it a spicy, crisp taste. Bottle refermentation imparts a yeast enriched flavour. Not to be confused with the different Ambree served at the Cheval Blanc brewpub.

Formerly known as Cheval Blanc Ambrée and then as Spéciale Ambrée. Recently changed to RJ No.926.

341ml bottle as No.926 in 2010. Dry, with carmel sweetness and spiciness. Light bitterness. Good, but not the best of the RJ variety pack.

Originally rated November 2008. Thanks to Driss who gave me one of these. Had tried it a few times, but never reviewed. Pours a beige-orange colour that is cloudy. Small white head that does not leave much. Unibroue smelling Belgium white yeast. Pretty refreshing for a Belgian ale, with a crisp mouthfeel. The taste is good, but should be more powerful. Has the characteristic of a witbier, but with less citrus action. A nice attempt from RJ Brewers to make an ale like this, and try and get the mass market drinkers into better beers.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2011 Cette bière s’appelle maintenant "No 926".

Foggy yellow with plenty of carbonation, small head on top. Fruity hops and grain aroma. Taste is grainy with a slightly plastic aftertaste. A bit too dry and it becomes cloying.

Hey was labeled No. 926 by RJ Brewers. So fuck ’em. I liked the beer. Aroma kind of grainy-lagery and yeasty, taste is sweet w a dry finish. Fruit - blueberry and sweet apple, wheat spice and vanilla... some citrus and bubblegum. Kinda nice and Quebecky.

Aucune amertume.
