3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mild and brown in color. I thought this was more of a brown ale due to its lack of bitterness. Not even enough hops to be an English-style brown ale, IMHO. Nice chocolate malt flavor pervades throughout!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy dark orange color, spots of yeast. Nose is citrusy and orangey with hints of yeast and an unpleasant ketchup likeness. Body is yeasty and wheaty, although it doesn't contain wheat. Lightly bitter, the flavors blend nicely.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not too impressed by this one. I found the aroma to be off-putting and almost sour, and the flavour starts off nicely, but quickly turns to a numbing bitterness as it hits the back of the tongue. This bitter edge got worse as the beer warmed up. Didn’t get any of the spicy crispness promised by the label, either. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood to appreciate the dryness. At least it has a nice copper colour.

I liked this one. Still has the cheval blanc yeast that i can’t apreciate, however it has enough malty complexity and spices to overcome the yeast flavor.
