COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is one hopped up beer. We use six different types of hops and our unique “hopburst” process to make this tasty IPA. Railhouse IPA has lots of wonderful hop aroma and flavor, subdued malt with balanced bitterness, with a stunning copper color.

Pours a clear amber with thin off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of earthy, citrus hops and caramel malts. Taste follows, slightly bitter finish. Decent, but nothing that amazing.

Bottle. Pours a mostly-clear amber color with a moderate white head. Nice bit of hoppy bitterness in the nose. The taste is a little bitter, but balanced well to cut the bitterness.

Fairly malty IPA. There’s a distinct, fairly fresh, hop smell and flavor, but not really aggressive for the style.

Clear light orange, slight head. Aroma lightly of baked grapefruit and floral perfume, has that powdery character. Flavor is at first light caramel, followed by a hop finish that resembles the aroma. Not bad, but it simply didn’t appeal to me. Seemed a bit thin somehow. I just wanted more everything - should also note that it wasn’t my favorite hop profile.

Pours a nice amber with a lasting head. Nice aroma of malt. Really not that much hops though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured on draft as a copper color. This is the best beer RR makes, although that’s not saying too much as they have a very small offering at this time.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2013 Bright, clear amber with an average head that leaves a lot of lace. Grassy hops in the aroma, and the flavor is citrus, floral/grassy hops, and a little bit of a butterscotch kind of malt. I didn’t like this as much the first time I had it as I do now. I felt compelled to rerate it because it’s grown on me quite a lot.

Bomber. Pours rusty mahogany with a white lingering head. Smells of citrus, some rye undertones, earthy. Tastes spicy and citrussy with a nice, dry finish. Well balanced.

Tap. Light golden with thin white head. Aromas of caramel, a little roastiness, and pine. Flavor lightly hoppy and roasty. Decent, I just happen to like more pronounced hops.

Bomber from Montano’s. Pours orange-caramel into the glass, with a nice hefty head that retains well through the entire session, leaving soapy ring lace. The nose is floral. Some citrus to the tongue, caramel malt, and a decent bitter backing. The body does get a tad "tea like" as the brew warms, shifting from "soft carbonation" to "creamy" to "flat soda". Otherwise, it is quite tasty, and a flavorful offering from Roanoke Railhouse.
