COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A few years back, some friends and family formed our own "confederation" to enjoy making some delicious ales. In your hand is our first born Amber Ale. With a gentle malty sweeetness, and a perfectly balanced finish, it has that immeasurable ingredient....soul! Formerly known as: Robert Simpson Confederation Amber Ale

355ml bottle from Systembolaget, Hornstull. Almost clear golden with a small white head, good lacing. Malty aroma, lots of bread, grains, burnt caramel and burnt sugar. Smooth sweet mouthfeel. The taste is malt-focused, bread, bread, bread and some biscuits. Sweet finish, almost no bitterness.

Bottled. Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is bready malts, caramel, some herbs and mild grass to it. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some wooden and mild crisp mild toasted toffeeish notes to it.

On tap at the brewery. I am not sure why the score is so low on this beer, other than it may be that it is sweeter than most amber ales that I have had before. It poured a light brown with a tan head. Very good flavor which was kind of sweet for an amber. Sweet finish.

Decent enough alternative to the macros. Amber pour, good sized pillow head. Malt forward, caramel, bready, slightly fruity. Medium body.

Darft. Amber pour, minimal white head that doesn’t last long. Slight roast nose, some caramel, a bit of pine a bit faint overall. Taste is better with caramel malt being the most prominent and some fruity hops. Not their best by a long shot.

Poured from bottle, amber with medium head. At first a very slight aroma but after a while notes of roast and resin were distinguishable. Taste mild with notes of dried fruit and herbs. Somme bitterness in the finish. Gained aroma and taste as it warmed up.

Poured from 355mL bottle. Clear, medium golden yellow with full white head. Aroma of caramel and biscuit malt with subtle hops. Taste is more of a grainy biscuit malt with little else coming through.

330 mml bottle tasted the 30/09/2014. Pale amber colour with a small head. Taste of malts and caramel. Aftertaste is soft and waterly; carbonation is medium. Easy to drink. Nothing special. Next one please!
