Red in colour, as advertised. Quiet, malty aroma could use more punch but seems fairly inviting. Nice, round malt flavour feels good in the mouth and good going down. Some cherry traces add a welcome second dimension to the aroma and flavour. Not stunning by any means, but a nice, average, red-coloured ale.

I think that I must’ve gotten an off pint of this (which doesn’t completely surprise me, as I had it in a less reputable bar than C’est What), ’cause I didn’t like it nearly as much as most of the other raters. It looked OK, with a reddish color and a small white head. But there wasn’t much aroma to it, and the body was watery and not very flavourful. I just got a hint of fruitiness in the finish once it had warned up a bit. Not repulsive, just pretty bland.

Draught at C'est What. Reddish body with a white head. Decent red beer with a lot more hops in the flavour than I remember, almost citrusy in the finish now. Intriguingly pleasant.

Tasted in Toronto at C'est What. Aroma is slightly tart and sour with a hop like bitterness. Red colour, clear with light white head. Taste is slightly sour with tart finish and subtle hoppy bitterness.

Hoppy, thin red ale. It is has a very clean profile.

Roasted malt aroma, clear ruby, very little head. Malt and nutty flavours, some bitterness, good after taste of malts. Nice tongue tingle, full bodied. Rich texture, a fine hardy amber!
