Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Colore ambrato-arancione, schiuma scarsa, carbonazione leggera. Odore di malto caramellato e fruttato (albicocca). Bella nota maltata dolce e fruttata, con leggero amaro fine in chiusura.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 11B). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L4280 18:53. AROMA: slight hop floral aroma that starts to fade. medium-low malt aroma with a slight caramel and biscuity quality. slight metalic note. APPEARANCE: light copper color and translucent. medium-thin ivory head with typical retention. TASTE: low malt flavour with a very faint resiny hop note. malt notes with a faint caramely character. semi-dry finish and bitter with a slight metalic note. PALATE: light body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a best bitter with average drinkability and a bitter presence.

Well...I like the smell. Smell is of sweet malts and caramel. Pours a light amber (like murky water). The lacing is soapy in appearance. Medium high carbonation. That with a bit of bitterness masks any attempts at complexity. There is malt that tries to come through. Overall not a complex beer, and not really that enjoyable.

0,5l bottle as a gift. Aroma: bit malty. Amber appearance with nice soft foam. Nice crisp taste with light sweet hints. There’s a very little bitterness. Rather light body, nice soft carbonation. Allright refreshing beer. I finished it in 5 minutes.

Can shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours clear dark orange with medium head, nose is round malty sweet fruit, melon and orange, touch of grainy corn. Tadte is round malt forward, bitter earthy citrus and dry grains, finishes bitter with mild sweetness, malty fruit, grainy orange and some grassy-ness.

Pours a clear medium amber. Outstanding head volume, lacing and retention. Light nose of classic British pale malt complete with the grainy aspect. Hop influence is slight, but does impart a very subtle note of spice. Heavy light body with a light smooth texture. Above normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice burst in the finish. Compared to outstanding English bitters, this one falls short in intensity. Complexity is also weak and balance is less than normal. It delivers a substandard light bitterness, but the flavor never pops. Caramel and biscuit attempt to come to the forefront in the middle, but never get passed just noticeable. The finish is a bit crisp and a slightly off flavored bitterness lingers.

16.9oz tall boy can from Xroads. Poured a clear orangey-amber with a smaller white head. Aroma is malts and grains, rather boring, sweet caramel malts. Flavor is like the aroma with sweeter malts, caramel, English yeast, tea leaves and a hint of nut shell. Boring enough to forgret but interesting enough to sip on.

Dark amber, white minimal head. Smells of porridge, citrus drop, mango, marmalade. Taste starts smoky, then bitter. Watery and rapidly finishing.
