Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

50 cl bottle @ Artturi, Tampere.
Pours clear golden color with a small head. Aroma of resiny hops, grass and caramel malts. Flavour of caramel malts, fruits, mild grass and goose berries. Strong carbonation, slick palate. A bit too malty and resiny.

Malty in a dry, spicy manner. Not my favourite type of maltyness. Aroma was underwhelming.

Copper-brown, slightly hazy, rapidly disappearing head. Aroma has plenty of fresh barley malt and relatively little hops (please note that the beer was served quite cold). Taste contains mainly barley malt and end with a long taste that reminds me of barley bread.

I am a huge Iron Maiden fan so any review of this beer i could provide would be heavily biased. But i really loved the beer. Bruce can do no wrong, lol.

Color is dark golden to copper, clear; white head - strong malty aroma, citrus notes - medium sweetness and medium bitterness - light to medium body, rather thin texture, average to lively carbonation - long bitter finish with citrus notes.

Beautiful luminescent copper coloured beer, crystal clear with a nice foamy head. Malty bready smell, doughy, slightly metallic with hints of cherries. Very subtle leather and rotten fruitiness. Taste is bitter sour with nice fizziness. Touch of citric sweetness and a refreshing lightly dry finish.

Butelka 0,5 l. Lekki aromat słodowy i owocowy. Kolor złoty, idealnie klarowny. Piana jasna, drobna, zostawiająca ładne ślady na ściankach szkła. W smaku słody i lekki biszkopot. Goryczka na niskim poziomie pojawia się po słodowym odczuciu. Nasycenie niskie, do średniego. No i ten Iron Maiden :-).

Light citrusy aroma. Pours with a light copper hue, medium carbonation and an off white head. Clean malty flavour with some lemon notes. Mild bitterness in the finish. Drinkable but a little bland. Great bottle design though.

50cl bottle bonused to me pours a murky orange with some soapy, white head. Nose has orange, some stale malt, a little dough, some honey. Flavor has a lot of fresh honey (not good for a bitter), some lemon and orange, but mostly just honey candies. Slick finish.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear cooper colour with small white creamy head. Medium carbonation. Malty and caramel aroma. Taste is bitter with some citrus in the end. Strong bitter aftetaste. Overall good beer with great label.
