330ml bottle poured into Latte glass. Very dark with a slight red/purple hue when held close to light. Smells quite boozy which is no surprise given the alcohol content. All sorts of darkness going on. Port wine, raisins, brandy, coal but all with the alcohol underneath. Couldn’t drink a lot of this but great as a late night sipper.

Bottle. Thick amber-black colour with solid, yet thin, off-white head; Sweet dark fruit aromas with hints of malty caramel and salted liquorice; Rich body, good weight, alcohol making its presence known; Mild bitterness on the palate, black olives, bitter chocolate with hints of charcoal and pistachio nuts, toasty woodiness throughout. Solid beer that’s reminiscent of a Belgian Dubbel - but with their awards so prominently blazoned on the labels, I was expecting much more!

creamy off-white head, dark brown. Aroma: Mokka, brioche, dried fruits.. Mouth: semi-sweet, full bodied, soft carbonation. Although it is quite high in alcohol, you don’t feel it. Could be good with a beef stew.

Aromaty palone, owocowe (estrowe - ciemne owoce - wisnie, sliwki, suszone figi), winne, karmelowe, toffi, - mile i intensywne. troszke chleba. Po ogrzaniu troche tez czuc alkohol, w wersji likierowej, nieprzeszkadzajacy. Rowniez po ogrzaniu mniej palonosci a wiecej owocowosci. Smak dosc analogiczny do powyzszych, czuc i slodycz i kwaskowosc. Znow w smaku nieco alkoholu, ale wkomponowane w pozostale smaki - niejako zastepuje niemal nieobecna goryczke, zarazem bedac milym w odbiorze, ala sherry. Calosc w pierwszej chwili troche skojarzenie daje jakby porter z duza dawka estrowych owocow, niemniej szybko zanika palonosc. bardzo dobre piwo. zwlaszcza na zime. rozgrzewajace. kusi nastepnym razem sprobowanie Old Tom w wersji czekoladowej.
