Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber to orange with a small off-white head. Good lacing. The aroma has malts, toasted, light hops, fruity. Medium sweet and light bitter. Creamy palate, soft carbonation.

Rated on 9-10-2015. This canned beer pours a very small off-white head with a long retention, gold transparent body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, grassy, sweet, fruity, spicy, and malt. The flavor is citrus hops, spicy, semi-sweet, fruity, and malt. This beer’s mouthfeel is smooth with some light carbonation. It is a light-medium bodied beer. This is a session beer that I was not impressed with the flavor.

Nice malty nose with some dry wood and lager yeast notes. Beautiful crystal clear medium yellow/amber with a white head. Fairly straight forward English ale with toast and bread malt flavor and a relatively strong bitterness for this type. Finishes crisp and clean. Nice, refreshing.

*Can* Clear orange color with off-white head, fruity malts, a bit tinny. Mild malts with a touch of citrus and a metallic aftertaste, thin.

Bottle shared at a friend’s house. Pours orange with thin diminishing white head. Totally watery, almost no aromas, some hints of lemon and citrus. Soft carbonation, thin texture with dry-bitter finish. Nothing special. Bruce Dickinson should stick to his singing....

50 cl bottle, clear amber color, small off white head, malt and grass aroma, roasted notes, light bitter flavor, light body, fresh finish with grass, drinkable but nothing special (basically like their recent albums)

Served from 0.5 L bottle, light brown ale with a white head. Aroma is dominated by malt but the hops are also present. Tastes slightly sweet, medium bitter, well balanced with the malty body. Long bitter finish. Little to watery texture for me with soft carbonation. I had higher expectations especially regarding the hops but overall not bad.

Bottiglia.
