Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Pint bottle shared. Pours a medium copper orange color within imam white head. Mild lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet malts and hints of citrus peel. The flavor is more mild than you would expect for an esb. Nice touch in the citrus but this one leaves you wanting more.

Bottle. Clear light brown head with with a small white head. Malty dough aroma with a sweet floral aroma throughout. Flavor is honey sweet malt and crisp heral hops that become more pronounced as this warms. Medium bodied at best with a very thin mouth feel that ends with a crisp dry herbal finish. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Bottle been in the cellar for a while, as I forgot this one. Lots of particles formed and haze the amber colour. The head is on the warm-side, has good retention and lovely lacing. Aromas of fruity malts (oranges, plums) with caramel notes, grassy hops and a touch of honey. Oily mouthfeel with a tiny tart and dryness in the finish. Fruity malts again for flavours, with some nice bitterness. Not too much and the caramel base. Quite surprised at this one, as usually these band (or celebrity) brews are boring blondes. Not this one. A real good English ale. A super nice session. A beauty for the style.

I had a can of this but can’t seem to find the can version so I’ll just say what I gotta say right here until further notice. This was poured into a pub pint glass. The appearance was a transparent golden brown color with softly rising bubbles to fill a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds leaving a messy sort of foamy lacing running here and there. The smell had a creamy smooth biscuity maltiness running over top of some playful "soapiness." Definitely English in its aroma. The taste was malty sweet biscuit and cracker malts apply a quick dry biscuit aftertaste that leads to a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a big sessionability about it. Totally a food beer as the carbonation seemed barely there. Overall, well, it’s an ESB, what are you expecting? If I had it again, I’d want it with fish n’ chips.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2015 Totally English, reminding me of Newcastle. Bitter and thirst-quenching. Heavy beer... Heavy metal! Filling. Great with food! —Mmmm Beer! And as I lay there gazing at the sky My body’s numb and my throat is dry And as I lay forgotten and alone Without a tear I draw my parting groan.

Draught as "Robinson Iron Maiden", at Sherlock holmes pub in Bialystok, small creamy head, clear light copper color, strong rubbery stinky aroma, with some malt coming through as the beer warms up, maybe the lines were not clean, citrusy fruity flavor with a biscuity maltiness and some butteriness in the end, light to medium bitterness. Smooth and easy to drink with a nice flavor, but whats that smell?

Can. Pours good deep copper. Off white head with good retention. Nose is very nice- a burst of citrusy UK hops and mild herbal notes. Flavor is just ok - malts have some toast flavors, but body tends towards an unremarkable generic and one-dimensional cereal-like malt flavors. Finish is decent with a nice touch of citrus and pine hop flavor to clean the palate.

Hazy dark copper with a fast fading white fizzy head. Nose full of clover honey and toasted English muffin with a side of light tea. Medium body with lots of honey and marmalade-on-toast, a touch of British tea, some light toasty nutty malt. A very British beer throughout. Medium bodied and nothing really standout. Basic bitter.

Sötét sárga. Karamell banánillat. Vékony test szénsavas, savanykás. Közepes keserűség. Egész jó komlós utóízzel. A banda sokkal jobb a saját stílusában. :)

A nice British ale -- hoppier than the standard bitter, but very quaffable. Up the Irons!
