2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark amber color, long-lasting 1" ivory head, bands and dots of lace. Taste is watery malt that grows much stronger until the swallow, when citrus hops and carbonation with a strong edge take over. Slight sense of spice in the finish. A curious brew: it starts a little thin, but becomes bloatingly heavy by the time you get to the finish. Okay.

This beer has a malty flavor backed up by notes of citrus and hops. It was a decent beer. I would drink again if available. I wasn’t expecting too much from what I thought was a novelty beer.

Pours a clear copper with think off white head that fade fast. There’s a caramel, and malt aroma. Flavor’s of tea, caramel, lemon, and malts. Medium body that was crisp and bitter on the palate.

2014-12-07. Crisp caramel amber body with a small off white head. 3+ Aroma is malty, toasty caramel malt. Flavour is similar, toasty caramel English malt character. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Solid take on the style but it’s not really my cup of tea. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

Bottle, 500mL. Home. A clear brown orange beer with a big white head ; medium retention. Aroma of caramel, smoke, herbs. Medium sweet, dry medium bitter refreshing. Medium body and texture, good carbonation, sweet smoky finish. Overall, a pleasant bitter ale, good lacing.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cool label, but that’s about it. Not even up to par as an average beer or bitter. Kinda boring. Some lackluster hops (light lemon and orange) and well balanced, but just not exciting.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12/9/14. Pint bottle from Warehouse. This doesn’t seem to be a very metal beer. Oh well, here goes. Clear golden copper pour with a small, fluffy khaki head that fades and laces a little. Plain aroma, bitter maltiness, husky, butter, tea.... screams English beer. Malty flavor, earthy, dirt, burnt caramel, toffee, almost meaty in a way, black tea... strikes me as English for sure. Touches of lemon peel. Eh. Disappointed, Maiden.
