Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

Helles Bernstein, kaum Schaumbildung. Das Bier ist malzbetont, aber auch der Hopfen weiß sich vor allem mit seiner Bittere einzubringen. Aber auch Aromen von Nuss, Karamell und Keks. Gutes Bier!

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear pale amber with a resilient white head. Aroma is biscuit, caramel, roast. Flavor is caramel, roasted cereal, biscuit. Finish is slightly earthy, grapefruit, lemon. Light to medium body, weak to average carbonation.

16.09 ounce can. Clear gold liquid sitting under +1 finger head of foam. Smells sweet and fruity with some bready notes. Fruity portrayal from the hops. Bread and sweet from the malt. The overall flavours remind me of something from Samuel Smith. Not a bad thing.

Nothing special. Alcohol taste too much exposed. Nice color, almost no foam. Low aroma. Awesome label.

Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a mug. Appearance: Light red colour, with short-lived foam. Aroma: Sweetish. Palate: Medium body; moderate carbonation with small bubbles. Taste: Bitter, but also somehow astringent (mouth clutching). Overall impression: Typical English beer. Good for enjoyment, not for the thirst. And off-course, excellent label/artwork.

Okay, I admit it... I was drawn in by the amazing art work on the label first. This is one of my favourite beers. Carbonation is weak which is a good thing. Smooth on the palate. The taste is dominated by citrus, hops, caramel and biscuits. Aftertaste has notes of lemongrass and crackers. The blend of flavours is so well balanced. This is truly a pick me up beer. Well done Robinsons Brewery.

500ml bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured hazy dark amber with an one finger off white head. Aromas of citrus, malt, flowers. Taste: citrus, bready malt, lemon peel, corn, caramel, vanilla. Nice balance between the hops and the sweet malts. Low on the bitters. Light body with a short but nice malty sweet finish. Nothing complex here but pretty good nonetheless.
