Trooper is a premium British beer inspired by Iron Maiden and handcrafted at Robinsons brewery. Being a real ale enthusiast, vocalist Bruce Dickinson has developed a beer which has true depth of character. Malt flavours and citric notes from a unique blend of Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops dominate this deep golden ale with a subtle hint of lemon.

500ml Bottle. Pours orange to slightly red color with a nice white head. No distinct aroma. Fresh, well balanced body. Very drinkable, an excellent session ale. It represents everything I would expect from a typical English ale.

Bottle of 50 cl.Nice but not relevant taste. Very nice colour. Her weakness is the poor palate and, as said before, the taste which is nice (notes of caramel) but very light.

500ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Nice bottle art. Fans of classic Heavy Metal will love it! :) The beer is also beautiful as the English Bitters use to be. Pours a clear orange color forming a one finger white to yellow head. Aired and thin to medium bubbled. Low retention. It vanishes quickly than I was expecting but leaves a lot of lingering lacings around S: Malts, caramel, crystal malts and some flowery hops. Too light. Weak character T: The same for the taste. Slightly sweet caramel malts in upfront. Overall, very dry in the mouth. Too weak bitterness to a British ESB. Some notes of paperboard M: Light and watery body. Medium to low carbonation. Caramel malts and paperboard aftertaste O: Ok drinkability but very far from the classic and original songs of Iron Maiden [ BA Review @ 8/3/2013 ]

This surprised me in a positive way. Nicely bitter taste, quite refreshing all in all, and surprisingly well balanced.
