Brewed since 1890, Unicorn is almost as old as the Brewery and is named after the Unicorn pub which was owned by William Robinson from 1838. Our brewery now stands over the inn plot, with our Unicorn proudly positioned on our brewery tower overlooking Stockport.
Unicorn is a magnificent pale tart, thirst quenching ale with superb mouth feel of rich malt, hops and complex aromas of Golding hops, malt and tart fruit. It has a long dry finish with citrus fruit notes.

Nothing too great. Looks good, with a nice head that’s a real stayer, but the taste lacks spark. A little sticky in the throat. 6/10.

Light in colour for a bitter small lasting head lightly hopped at the end pretty standard easy drinking bottle at home.

Light amber-brown with a lasting thin head, hints of bread and toffee on the nose, earthy and dry grassy-herby bitterness. Light caramel and grass notes in the finish. Decent.

Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting beige head. A little Robinson’s house yeast aroma and flavour. Some caramel. Some hop on the finish. It’s a golden bitter. Decent except the pasteurised aroma.

Bursztynowe o bialej obfitej pianie. Wyrazna nuta chmielowa z delikatna goryczka i owocowo orzechowym finiszem. Ok

Dark golden ale, a fruity hopped aroma, taste is mildly fruity, some maltiness, a light bitter finish. This is reasonably drinkable, with a slightly metallic undertone, but it is, I am afraid, just plain boring

A mid Amber gold coloured beer with a weak off white head. A light fruity hop and dusty malt aroma. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is a mildly bitter start, the fruity hop flavour leads the way, with the slightly caramel malt taste coming through towards the end. The finish is light and hoppy. Bottle from Lidl, Fakenham.
