2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2013 Initial 7/14/2010: Pours hazy amber with quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of light hops, malt. Tastes of pineapple upfront, almost acidic, and yeast. Overall very drinkable.
11/15/2013: Bottle from Monty’s Liquor Boutique on 11/15/13. Pours a cloudy golden, loose, off white head that dissipates rather quickly. Nose yeasty, grass, faint hops, some dark fruit. Taste is yeast upfront, grass, earthy, a sort of smokiness reminiscent of bbq or charred meat, followed by a slight hop bitterness. The smokiness isn’t like a smoked ale, much more faint than that and bit different. Leaves you with the smokiness and bitterness in your mouth. Mostly smoke. Mouthfeel is slightly viscous. A good deal of yeast sediment left in the bottle. Overall a pretty good beer but the smoke flavor is sort of odd, but not bad.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Pump House, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is light malt hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with smooth light malt, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Became a little sickly after a while. Would not want to be drinking a pint of this.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Weak aroma with a pretty nice malty taste. Not so much hops. Nice creamy head and good looks doesn’t help much when the overall impression is slightly below average. Won’t have this again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Gusher. Pours clear golden with a gigantic head that resemble washing foam. Aroma is floral hops, spice, citrus, some vinegar and some sour green apples. Mouth feel is round and fruity with spritzy carbonation. Aftertaste is green apples, vinegar, spice, some sweet malt, some metal and lasting hop dry finish. Overall: very nice. A lot of faults in this one. But, the faults actually compliment the beer. Well done.

Bottle from Roeland Liquors, Cape Town. Hazy yellow pour, thin white head. Aroma of Belgian Hops, spices, a bit chemical. Flavor is very bitter, dry and spicy. A bit harsh and rough, mostly just a bit too bitter. Not bad though.
