COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

Purchased at Systembolaget in Sweden. Pours a dark beer with foam that quickly vanishes. Itís a beer with traces of dark fruit and chocolate. Gentle, mild taste with some sweatness. Best served in a Trappist glass. My favorite Belgian beer.

Dark brown color, small foam. Chestnut aroma but there is something else I canít recognize, strong and full taste with alcohol presence and long lasting after taste. Beer with full aroma, but not to bitter nor to sweet, and every essence mixed right.

0.33l bottle. Muddy brown color with small head. Aroma of chestnut, plum and raisins. Taste is mostly dominating alcohol and leaves very dry mouthfeel.

Cloudy dark brown with light brown head that is quickly quashed by the ABV. Aroma of dark fermented plums, raisins, woody, and booze. Not too sweet, like the aroma fermented dried fruits, candy sugar and smooth alcohol burn. Very nice quad with little to no banana. Gets better with age.

Very dark brown. Thick beige froth. Incredibly aromatic and complex: plantain, prune, citrus rind, black treacle, coffee beans, yeast, flour, panettone pie. Very powerful, yet not heavy due to its precise sourness. Sweet and balanced, mouth-filling and very, very long. One of the greatest, to be sipped slowly and carefully.

Darker brown colored, opaque, wonderfully strong beige creamy and lasting head. Sweet caramel, toffee, bit of chocolate, and dried and dark fruits. Taste is moderate to strong sweet caramel, brown sugar, toffee, some toasted malt some chocolate and bit of nuts and of course lots of dried and dark fruits. Full bodied, bit sticky, and quite creamy. Quite complex, a very beautiful beer!

This is truly a very beatiful beer! It pours dark red-brown, almoust black with a one finger high, beige head that dissapears fast with a wizzing noice. Nose: Vanilla, whiped cream, raisin, plum, milk chocolate, brown sugar and dark syrup. Taste: Dried fruit, brown sugar, dark bread, a hint of coffee, licorice and vanilla. Body: Medium body with a complex texture. High carbonation. A little warming booze from the 11.3% ABV. So great beer! Absolutely top!

Zdradliwie pijalne. Wyborne piwo, najwyższa půłka.

It has a nice fruity(mostly plum) taste at the end, but for me it was to alcoholic. Maybe I didnít drink it with the right food companion, but definetly I preffered a beer with more flavor and less alcohol.

Muddy brown, with a soap film head. Aromas are very pronounced breads, yeasts, malts, and grains. A moderately viscous mouth feel. There are plums, red fruit peels, and figs in the tastes. A definite alcohol presence in the back of the throat, especially the warmer it gets. This is quite simply a joy of a beer to drink. Brewing at its best.
