The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

Flaske, 33 cl. Mørkebrun med et beige skum. Kompleks aroma og smag. SOrt te, tørret frugt, jord, nødder, karamel, anis, mynte, allehånde, let røget mørk kardemomme. Sød, fyldig, alkoholisk uden at være tung. En let drikkelig sipper. Ikke på niveau med westvleteren 12, men god.

Capturing a many-hued, steadily evolving classic, tasted fresh on last occasion@Rochefort kermes 09/2014, aged 4-8 months upon previous occasions. - Fresh: a late afternoon cordial chocolate or woody madeira/dessert wine of a sipper, pure chocolate coated dates and plums, spiced with fresher hints of bayleaf, mint, aniseed. Marmite on fresh brown, still rising bread at its most pedestrian base. Supreme drinkability, non-sticky mouthfeel despite thick, clearly defined layers of fruit sweetness. Prominent late herbal, nettle tea hop kick. / Older: oakier, earthier, more complex with the dormant potential of its spicy yeast, dusting roasted chocolate and caramel malts over red and purple berry dessert flavours on each new instance. Still residually sweet, with a woody and bitter chocolate dry finish. - One of few mercurial works of brewing art with potential to contiuously educate any drinker’s palate, even those less fond of sweeter beers.

Uma das melhores cervejas Trappistes que tomei. Não é tão doce qto as outras. Muito gostosa, leve sabor alcoolico, levemente doce, espuma perfeita e coloração escura.

Aroma is nuts, raisins, bread, alcohol. Taste is slightly sweet, LOTS of raisins. The alcohol gives a warming feeling. Complex and excellent beer.

This beer is delicious. The palate is interesting with fruit and layers if malt. Had from a bottle in a Rochefort glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rico em aroma e sabor, considero a melhor cerveja trapista que ja tomei, oculta bastante o sabor do alcool, mais saborosa na temperatura e na taça ideal!

Pours a very dark brown color with a decent head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is caramel, nutty, toffee, bread, dark fruits of plum and fig, a warming booze note. Taste is sweet, raisin, fig, sorghum molasses, chocolate orange. Mouthfeel is not as thick as the 8, somewhat dry and very refreshing. Overall very good, the booze becomes slightly stronger as it warms but is still very hidden for 11.3%.

Great Trappist beer, strong flavored, alcohol is fairly well masked, dark brown opaque with brown foam head that leaves quickly, complex flavor with a bit of sweetness, scent dried fruit and toasted nuts ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
