The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

Bottle 0.33l. Brown cloudy liquid with small beige head. Full body, medium carbonation. Barrel aroma, some caramel, cloves, nutmeg maybe, vanilla. Heavy sweetness but not in a bad way. Alcoholy. Rich and complex.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2015 Dark, thick flavor. Plums on the front end, finishes with chocolate. Great beer, but after seeing the ratings would have liked a little more complexity.

Olor a azúcar moreno y hierbas. Mucho sedimento. Textura cremosa. Sabor con dulzor agradable inicial, bastante suave junto con especias y hierbas. Desencadena en final bastante alcohólico y seco. En conjunto bastante equilibrada. Es una muy buena cerveza.. Y una gran copa. Aunque no entre mis quads

330 ml bottle at home. BB 11/2017. dark brown hazy color. medium big off-white head. smells malty sweet, dried fruits, liqueurish, honey, light notes of marzipan, plums. full body, rather bubbly carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes malty sweet, nice notes of berries and dried fruits, warming alcohol, liqueurish, notes of candy and light marzipan. finishes with dried fruity and alcoholic notes. quite nice, had this at the same time as Westy 12 and its a close tie. The Westy was a bit less obvious boozy, but it was cellared for a while, while this one was relatively fresh. overall both great beers though.
