Excellent beer. It had a great flavor, very easy to drink and a good taste after. Not bitter, tinge of sweet. ggilmore512 (2), Georgia, USA does not count Feb 21, 2009 My first rating. Excellent beer. Great aftertaste. Slight alcohol flavor that is to be expected for a high percentage beer. syton98 (40), USA Feb 21, 2009 Wow, A freind gave me two of these and what a friend I have. This beer is amazing. It begs you to drink more. Chimay glass. Dark brown colore with a nice head that stays through the duration of the beer. Good amount of lacing on the glass. Flavor is complex but screams for you to drink more. Alcohol content is hidden by the awesome flavor...it will sneak up on you. A truely great beer, a must have. Frovigalning (388), , Sweden Feb 21, 2009 I tried 8 and 10 back to back. Nr 10 is definitely better. It got similar taste but its smoother somehow and for some reason it feels less alcoholic despite its high percentage. A truely top notch beer! Lucky #100!
Been saving this for a while! Pours a dark brown with a lot of particulate, light brown head that sticks around. Nice lacing. Earthy nose, caramel, bready, with some sour fruit, cherry maybe? Taste is similar, with a lot of carbonation. Alcohol is barely present, amazingly smooth. Oh boy this is a good beer!
