4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sick of the sight of this damn stuff. Every day I have to tell people that itís rochefort, not fucking rocquefort... itís a beer not a fucking cheese.....
All the same itís a damn fine drop. To alcoholic on occasion. Iíll save the fruits and nuts renditions....

UPDATED: APR 23, 2008 Pours deep nutty brown with big beige head. Very creamy as well. Aroma is powerful, alcoholic and very much plum, woody and cherry-like. Taste is great as well. Warming and powerful, sweet and yeasty.

4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Outstanding! Deep rich color, slightly thick mouthfeel with a little carbonation. Taste is smooth and alcohol does not stand out much at all. Definitely my new favorite.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark brown with tannish-beige head, disappearing shortly thereafter. Lots of chunks and debris at the bottom of the bottle. Faint hints of malts, caramel, and molasses in the aroma...the taste is quite malty with some slight fruit overtones and you definitely taste the alcohol. But itís (the alcohol) superbly mixed with the other flavors. As the mug drains, this stuff seems to be getting sweeter. Too sweet perhaps. Itís velvety-smooth and could really put a hurt on you with the alcohol content. Definitely not something Iíd ever want to drink more than one of in an evening, but pretty good.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2009 33 cl BeerBistro. Akin to the Eight, deeper sugary/malty flavor imbued with dried dark fruit, nice dry edge of hops and reasonably integrated alcohol. Okay depth, body and balance, overall pleasant!. Will have to try a few more samples from this inconsistent brewer, preferably not fridge-stunned. ** Re-rate ** several samples at Only Cafť have been deep, spicy, fruity, and complex with a creamy feel and a light acidity that is perfect, er I mean better than 4.0. So smooth and rich and balanced showing no sharp alcohol.

4.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2012 Colour is dark brown with ruby notes and a firm, frothy, beige head. Huge, complex, herbal nose with chocolate (and mint?), toffee, vanilla, spices, sugar-candy and a distinct honey sweetness. Flavors are dominated by malts, caramel and a noticeable alcohol component espciallly as the beer warmed up a bit.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2007 330ML oz bottle from Liquid Solutions. Been saving this for several weeks enjoy for rating #200. Pours a dark brown with a large beige head. Fruity aroma with notes of plums, toffee, molasses. Mmm tastes like is smells. Begins with some vanilla, toffee, molasses, caramel none of which are overly sweet, and finishes with some fruity esters and laid backup alcohol. Easiest drinking/yummiest smoothest 11.3% abv i have ever tasted! With that said, the alcohol presence is strong..as it should be for 11.3%! HArd to finish the bottle though...
