Belgians4Me (5), Arkansas, USA does not count Oct 8, 2009 Wow, crazy Robust-Aroma! Smooth on the way down and then, BAM, it hits you. Very powerful aftertaste. Lots of flavor, warm alcohol feel, but not overpowering. It was like there was a party in my mouth. I wanted to take a break after each drink...and party! I’ve never had a beer like it. It definitely is an experience that’s worth the price. I split it with a friend and trust me, half a beer was plenty! Like an old Batman episode. Pow! TheCaptain (526), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2009 Bottle- Had this in the fridge for about 6 months. Poured with a slight haze rich amber brown, quickly vanishing head with just a light ring around the edge. A bit of a berry roast n the nose. Palate happy with a smooth brewed texture. Aged quality of berries on the vine and an excellent blend of alcohol. I drank it cold at first then let it warm up towards the end. What a great brew and worth the wait.
Kings Share- Gathered up the milky brown bottom bits. Like dark chocolate milk with a slight bitter milky/chalk texture. JanVittrup (138), København V, Denmark Oct 7, 2009 Unfiltered dark brown (cola). Quickly disappearing head.
Generous aroma - as described; plumbs raisin. Very VERY nice.
Not as much flavour symphony as I’d hoped. Nice, a little alcohol. Quite well balanced.
A very nice beer. Mostly in aroma and palate unfortunately.
Great palate. Thin, fizzy.

Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Oct 5, 2009 Pours a dark clear mahogany with ruby highlights and large fading tan head. Just like the commercial description - plums, raisin, and currants. Has a decent bit of alcohol warming but totally understandable for the abv. Too expensive though. Very good, but Overrated imo. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Oct 4, 2009 33 cl bottle, Fargo, ND, USA. Slightly muddy cola colour, no head, some faint carbonation at the edges. Very mild prune aroma, sweet alcoholi flavor with some nice prune mellowness. Lingering burn on the finish nicely completes the experience. jwweaver77 (5), Clayton, North Carolina, USA does not count Sep 30, 2009 Best beer I’ve had! Dark with a thick eggshell colored head, mild alcohol taste. Lots of fruit flavors, raisins & prunes, too many to comprehend. Wow. Lot of malty flavor. Like I said, best beer I’ve personally had Tremendously smooth for such a high ABV. potbeercollege (248), Boulder, Colorado, USA Sep 30, 2009 Bottle. What an amazing brew! Beautiful murky dark nut brown color, with thinning light beige head. Very nice lacing. Rich malt aroma. Exceptionally well balanced, extremely complex malt flavors with hints of fruitiness. Booze is dangerously well hidden; very smooth. Enjoying this beer is an experience, one that will leave you dumbfounded over its awesomeness. IauditUUhateme (15), Coram, New York, USA Sep 29, 2009 Thanks to Rich at Bellport Beer. I was avoiding this for some reason. I spent about $85 and Rich said it’s about time you try this, and threw it in.
In a word, Outstanding! I was really impressed by this. Dark with a thick head, not too much alcohol taste, lots of fruit flavors, raisins & prunes were prominent. Lots of malty flavors, I just couldn’t identify them all. Just a smooth & delicious beer I would highly recommend!
