5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I believe that this is the perfect beer! I would guess I will never get my hands on a Westvleteren12 so I will not be able to compare it to this. Smooth and creamy and beautiful to the nose and palate. Only in the first sip from my chalice did I get even a hint of the alcohol. After that sip, it really wasn’t noticeable at all. Well done by the monks at Abbaye Notre-Dame de Saint-Rémy! Bravo! Must be the holy water they use ;)

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Butelka 0.3L Ciemne brunatne, mętne. Piana kremowa, średnioobfita pozostawia pierścień po sobie.
Aromat intensywny, owocowy, rodzynki, śliwki, ciemne pieczywo, dojrzałe ciemne winogrona.
W smaku śliwki w likierze, karmelki, alkohol, rodzynki, suszone owoce.
Świetne, mocno owocowe, genialnie ułożone piwo.
Alkohol mniej wyczuwalny niż w 8mce.
Genialne ale chyba Fuck Art this is Advertisement mi jeszcze bardziej smakował.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark and cloudy, unfiltered. Head wasn't much and didn't stick around long. Currants as the primary scent I'm getting. Very creamy mouth feel. Sweet and astringent. Interesting but not my type.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Poured into Rochefort chalice. Looks very, very dark brown, almost black. Loose and bubbly cream head which lasts, including a crescendo of bubbles in the centre. Aromas of banana, brown sugar, lots of dark fruits like raisin and sultana, bit of vanilla, hint of yeast, freshly baked brown bread, sugary dried fruit. Lovely smelling. Taste- loads going on. Slight bitterness in the background, on top of which there are sugary dark fruits, dark cherries, hints of banana, maltiness, sweet toffee/caramel- almost like toffee-covered raisins, vanilla notes, hints of dark malt which become more prominent as it warms, bringing some roasty, slightly chocolatey qualities. It coats the tongue nicely but doesn’t cloy, and is full bodied with a lingering finish. A truly superb beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted during a quad comparison vs. Abt 12, Gulden Draak 9000, and Gregorious...very surprised Rochefort 10 stood out as the weakest by far, lacking depth.
Great head, hazy appearance was very nice, but plain aromas, not much cheese like the Rochefort 8. Disappointing taste.

Great beer and great price at the LCBO just in case anyone is interested. Alcohol aroma is strong but not as noticeable when tasting.

"Finally ", Man I’ve been on a personal quest searching everywhere I go for this magic potion. I have read very good reviews on this one, making me wont it even more. "Here we go"!, Dark frothy monster too dark to see thru glass , Caught me by surprise , thought it would be lighter. I was so overly anxious to taste it I poured it fast and started to develop a nice tan frothy head , that last . The power of this one hit me right away "Pow" alcohol , I knew one of these bad boy’s will do the trick. The nose was very pleasant , yeasty and for the first time Bubble gum , Yes Bubble gum sweetness , the more I drank the more me like. Great beer !!!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
O álcool é presente e permanece no retrogosto.

3.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lovely nose of brown sugar, malts and a little vanilla. Dark coffee brown. Thin head. I’ve had this beer quite a number of times, I just can’t get over the big hit of booze, odd since I’ve had lots of beers with equal or higher alcohol content. Anyway, big booze, malts some bitterness in the after taste. I know how much this beer is loved, but...

What more can be said. The best beer I've every tasted. High ABV but can't taste it. Very light flavor despite dark color. Had it in Rochefort chalice. Lots of sediment but didn't distract from enjoyment. Has all the qualities noted in other reviews. Dark, creamy, smooth, fig notes, coriander, etc
Will buy more to cellar to see if improves with age. Bottle I had was produced in Sept 12 (1.5 years)
