COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

330 ml bottle at home. BB 11/2017. dark brown hazy color. medium big off-white head. smells malty sweet, dried fruits, liqueurish, honey, light notes of marzipan, plums. full body, rather bubbly carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes malty sweet, nice notes of berries and dried fruits, warming alcohol, liqueurish, notes of candy and light marzipan. finishes with dried fruity and alcoholic notes. quite nice, had this at the same time as Westy 12 and its a close tie. The Westy was a bit less obvious boozy, but it was cellared for a while, while this one was relatively fresh. overall both great beers though.

Bottiglia. Corpo pieno e carbonatazione vivace. Un must assoluto.

Bottle from Drinks of the World. Pours hazy brown. This beer defines the standard when it comes to Quadruples, but there are more complex ones. Still a beer that I drink often as it is available everywhere.

Pours a hazy brown color with a large offshite head and lots of carbonation. Aroma of dark malt, strong plum with raisins and dark cherrys. There!s a little bit of brown sugar also in there maybe. It gets better as you keep smelling. Very complex. Medium to full body with lots of carbonation. Medium sweetness with a strong alcool finish.

0.33 l bottle. Dark brown, cloudy, tan foam. Powerfull aroma: rich and charming malt, caramel, dried fruits, raisins and prunes, a little spice. Taste: sweet, malt, wine, berries and fruit, cherries with brandy, hops spicy and light bitterness in the finish, very warming. Amazing!
