My #1 beer. Dark brown cloudy pour with pretty fast dissipating tan head. Smell of dried fruits, caramel, burnt sugar, sweet chocolate, i get blue cheese in there but that might just be me, cherries and much much more. Taste follows the nose with dried fruits like dates, raisins and tutti frutti. Sweet dark malts chocolate, but the dried fruits........ooh you divine dried fruits. Thick full bodied mouth smacking sweet mouthfeel. This is a beer that shows love for the art of brewing. 5 outta 5. If you haven’t yet, go get it, you won’t be dissapointed.

Unreal. Pours a dreamy, deep dark brown with lively, quickly vanishing khaki head. Roasty aroma of caramel, booze, and Belgian yeast. Bread, dark fruit, caramel. Perfect amount of alcohol on the tongue. More yeast. Incredibly smooth. Warm. Absolutely top notch.

In my opinion better as the Westvleteren XII when drinking those beers young. After aging for years, I will prefere the Westvleteren. I especially love quadruple, and this one is already for a looong time one of my favourites.

Aroma: Caramel, orange, butterscotch, raisins, bubble gum, dates. A remarkable complexity. An exceptional sustain of aromas. One small negative; a bit too much alcohol.
Appearance: Brown, full of yeast particles, extremely hazy, thick sparkling head that doesn’t stay long. No lacing.
Taste: Caramel identifies itself very rapidly at first taste; after that, related flavors such as raisins, dates, brown sugar, figs, are showing up, wrapped up by a warm alcohol feel. A little floral bitterness is crowning the finish. Mouth feel is round, syrupy and with a lot of body. Balance is perfect. Hops are well dosed. An exceptional beer. A masterpiece of the brewing art. My general appreciation of this beer is 19 out of 20 because I don’t know if it’s the best beer in the world, but it’s certainly the best one I tasted up to date. Un délice à chaque gorgée.

perfect color with a small-sized head, just how I like it. Has almost no smell and the smell there is, is a bit salmiak aroma, not my cup of tea. Smells good, lots of carbonation and alcohol taste, however not very rich. Good beer.

Spicy, herbs, light fruity, later dried fruit, sweet, light caramel, malty aroma. Very complex aroma. Cloudy brown color. Medium, long lasting, brown head. Very sweet, strong spicy, light berry/dried fruit taste. Full body. Sticky texture. Spicy, light sweet, light dry, light warm finish. That is truly one of the best.
