COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

Rochefort Trappistes 10. Wow. Pours out a dark brown hue. The off white lacing had decent lacing but a little bit lower on the retention. The aromas was slightly roasted but more along the lines of dark fruits like plums. The flavor is where this on shines. Itís extremely complex. Definite malt flavor as well has a vanilla and caramel sweetness. Above those were the flavors of the dark fruits and floral undertones. You can taste the hops but itís very balanced and works well with all the other notes. Great smooth body as well as creamy. Being an 11% abv beer you donít get a hard alcohol hit. Itís well hidden under the rest of the beer. Amazing.

Pours deep cloudy brown with a thin beige head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of cherries, raisin and wine. Pleasantly carbonated and surprisingly subtle for a beer of this alcohol content. Crisp and rich with flavours of figs, plum, sweet cherry balanced with oak and cocoa. Superb Quad/BDSA.

Pours deep reddish-brown, less head and carbonation than #8. Smells of dark fruit of various ages - plum, raisin - and tastes of more ripe fruit with a hint of licorice. Sweet and bitter at the same time. Really awesome and likeable beer

Bottled. Pours hazy brown, lots of sediment. Really pretty. Frothy beige head. Aroma is raisins, very prominent fig, plum, lots of dark fruits. Smells amazing. Flavor is plums, raisins, fig, currants. Really pleasant, definitely those traditional quad flavors are present. Really awesome beer. This definitely stands out as far as Belgian beers go. Amazing.

Nice brown reddish appearance with off-white foam. Nice aroma. Very complex flavor... chocolate, dark fruit (berry plum etc.) malt. Reminds me of Duvel plus a wonderful complexity and substance with a bit of an alcohol finish (it is over 11%). My new favorite!

Looks like mud but is delicious! Malty, nuts and fruit aroma. Sweet and slightly bitter in a thick, full bodied delivery. Long, slightly bitter finish. Just excellent.

This is certainly a respectable Quadrupel Trappist. A Belgian character, because it is a strong beer, more rustic, with a remarkable dose of hops. A peculiar aroma taking your body a dark color, almost black which forms a beige high foam, dense and medium term, as a Quadrupel should be. Your scent is really striking. Alcohol is a little more noticeable, and lightly sweet and roasted malt has your palate with fruity touch - plums, raisins and perhaps port wine. Your aftertaste I was transferred a taste peel fresh plums. This taste was showing up more and more evident during the tasting, appearing quite along with the warm feeling of alcohol. Its impenetrable Notre Dame Abbey of Saint Remy in Rochefort where unfortunately there is no tasting in your local store that is close to the Abbey.

Absolutely one of the best beers I've ever had. Such a complex taste and sophistication to the flavor profile I'm not sure where to begin. Just find it and try it. You won't be disappointed.
