The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

330ml bottle, poured into Leffe chalice. Colour was very dark copper, with auburn edges, opaque. One finger tanned head, very good retention, had a small scar on top of the head from the pour. Aroma was initally musty, notes of grape, caramel, malt, medicine and brown sugar. The first thing I noticed after pouring was that a could smell the beer from a lot further away than normal. Tasted medicine, brown sugar, molasses and strawberry. Booze was so well hidden I wondered if the decimal point was too far to the right. Texture was very smooth and almost moussy, very light body, perfection. Overall exceptional, aroma, look and mouthfull can’t be improved. So far I’ve never had a better beer.

Dark brown, white head, really little bubbles, stays to the end. Aroma of dried fruits (cherry, peach), raisins, caramel, some dark chocolate. Taste: medium sweet, light sour, more malts less fruits than in aroma, with dry fruity-alcoholic (like wine) finish. Full body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Overall: Great beer for sure, although expected more.

Appearance is large white head with a deep, unfiltered amber and some yeast. Aroma is a mix of alcohol, spice, and sweet malt. Taste is some sweet spice with a hit of alcohol. Overall right in the middle of the pack of Belgians for me.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a deep brown, like mahogany with a 1/2" thick tan head. Can see some yeast floating around in the liquid. Definitely some dried fruit aromas with a touch of sourness. Full bodied and a little sticky, the taste is on the sweet side. Lively carbonation on the tongue. The finish gets a little sour. Not noticing the alcohol taste, but there is a little warming after the swallow. Can’t find anything wrong about this one!

Flaska systembolaget. Mörkbrun kulör med beiget skum. Stor härlig doft. Knäck, plommon, russin, mandelmassa. Mycket komplex smak med äpple och russin. Fat, lite tobak och bränt socker. Söt med fin torr avslutning.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours murky dark brown with a lot of sediment and an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are dried fruit, malt, alcohol, and yeast - with a dry finish.

Bottle from local Saq. Aroma: dark red fruits, sugar candies, app: brownish with nice medium frothy beige head. Taste and palate : full body, medium sweetness, short sweet and fruity finish. Good carbonation. Overall : enjoy this beer quite a lot. It’s perfectly balanced, it’s sweet but not too much. A quadruple at its best.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown color, looking dark brown in the glass, producing a fairly large tanned head. Fluffy and lasting. Complex aroma of burnt sugars, banana-esters, raisins, plums, toasted malts and some bready dough notes as well. Simply wonderful. Taste is a sweet blend of all the above. Masterfully integrated flavors, nothing really sticks out of the mix. Notes of port, a whiff of alcohol, raisins, dark candied sugars are just a handful of flavors. The body is full with a slick texture. High levels of co2 and a long semi-sweet finish that warms.

Simply amazing beer. Dark brown, hazy beer with off-white head. This quad has mainly caramel, malts, fruit (plums and raisins) in the aroma and is quite sweet and a bit bitter (just the right amount). Complex but still very nicely balanced!

Wow, que cerveja. Marrom escura, boa espuma. Aromas de frutas secas, mel, passas ao rum. Sabor bem adocicado. Uma senhora cerveja. Corpo médio-alto, amargor médio-baixo. Licorosa, aftertaste alcoólico.
