COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

Excellent dark nutty brown appearance with one of the best aromas ever. The aroma is so inviting. The taste is smooth as velvet and immediately i could tell it packed a punch. This beer has a great taste for such a high gravity. I liked this beer in spite of the fact that i do not like the sickening sweet taste that most high gravity beers display on the end,

Believe the hype. Effervescent pour with tan head that disappears within seconds. Dark cherry impression in the ruby red colour, nose, and taste. Heavenly scent - huge cherry, currant, raisin, fig profile. Taste is similar, but not as huge as the aroma; loads of dark fruit and some bread. Heavy carbonation adds a refreshing character without too much muting. Finish has a light hop note which I’m not used to in a quad, but it absolutely fits. An 11.3% with no booze taste, but has some heat going down. World class.

Bottle, Pours muddy brown with tan head. Aroma of strong belgian yeast, almond, dried fruits, raisins, plums, light apriciot rather complex. Taste is heavy, not really that sweet or that bitte, but quite balanced. quite intense and smooth.

12 degrees Celsius in a tulip glass from a bottle. Nose is sticky sweet toffee and candied dark fruits. Pours beautifully dark mahogany brown to almost black with a thick, frothy three fingers of tan head. Head has dissipated quickly to simply leave a ring - no lacing. Taste is sweet, followed by sweet with a hint of alcohol at the end (but only a hint). Moderately thick and low effervescence. Gently warming on the way down. Medium length palate. Definitely a digestif which could easily replace a Cognac. I wish I had some chocolate mud cake to go with it. Lovely. Wouldn’t take to a BBQ though.

A bottle from Jason’s near NCC Uni., drunk at home. Opaque, chocolatey colour, head dissipates quickly. Malty aroma with hints of caramel. Fizzy, carbonated mouth feel, not unpleasant. Taste is sweet and heavy, with a kick of alcohol at the end. An excellent Trappist.

Barbacoa in Boise. Happy Hour 2 for $10. Wow. Best before bottle 13.10.2020. Classic and what all quads strive to be. Deep flavor. Smooth lingering head. Happiness all around.
