Shady dark brown, pours plenty of cream coloured head. Alcohol, yeast, cider (fruity) aroma. Thick mouthfeel, tastes of berries and red apples. A long sweet aftertaste that draws to alcohol and bitterness in finish.

Re-rate blind at Dugges 080329. Very hazy red/brown, dark tan head. Bread, caramel in aroma, hint of fruit. Thick, high on alcohol in taste, caramel.

Aug 25, 2008 pours a dark murky brown with a boisterous frothy head, slow to dissipate. Great aroma- can smell it from 4 feet away, but still smooth and not over-aggressive. Notes of raisin, caramel, malt. Flavor is otherworldly- aggressive alcohol, some vinous qualities, malt, raisin, dark fruit, sweet molasses. Unfairly good. Palate is wondrous, sticky but oh so gentle on the tongue. Probably my favorite beer ever.

Aug 25, 2008 I don’t know what else I could say besides that this is definitely the best beer I ever tasted. Pure flavor coming from many different sources. Very thick fruity start and a satisfying spicy finish. At almost $7 a bottle I only had one but was plenty warm once I was finished. Worth the wait!!!

Aug 25, 2008 Well here it is, the legend in the flesh. Id be lying if I didnt say I wasnt a slight bit disspointed in this. But when you have heard so much good things, you are bound for a bit of a letdown. The beer is fantastic and complex though. Very fruity with a long bitter finish. Also one of the best looking beers in a glass.

Aug 24, 2008 Unbelieveble! Very complex, dates, raisins,
cherries, spicy, caramel, chocolate maybe some plum in there as well. Excellent beer
an all time favorite.
