COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

My first time with this beer, thanks to Oz for supplying it. Smell is somewhat boozy but I also get a bunch of fruit notes as well. Nice pour with a really nice head. Dark berries, grapes, dark chocolate aroma. Very nice sipper, the alcohol does not overwhelm, just a hint of burn going down, but the dark chocolate bitterness adds a nice touch at the end. A really great beer!

Donkerbruine kleur met flinke beige schuimkraag. Aroma van fruit, fris. Smaakt super, wel wat zoet. Topper.

Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy off white head. Aroma of dark malts, plum, raisin. Sweet and smooth but complex flavour. Dark fruits, quite carbonated, which makes a very big beer seem much lighter in alcohol. Very rich, full bodied and moorish and not at all overpowering. Where do they hide the alcohol? I i can’t find it; but will be on the floor later. Wow.

again one of those beers what belgians are famous for - rich taste, better drink it cellar temp than fridge. Deserves its top ratings it gets here.

Pours a dark mahogany brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is of dark fruit, toffee, spices and alcohol. Taste is sweeter than expected, big dark fruit, coffee, rum and alcohol. Creamy and smooth with medium carbonation. A very solid Quad.

Dark brown pour with nice head. Aroma kind of smelled like uncorked wine with Belgian yeast, raisin, plum, some sweetness and I got hints of rotting fruit perhaps. There was some alcohol to the taste and plenty of plum and raisin, following the nose. Nice and creamy on the palate with a bit of spice. Overall very well done beer.

Best beer I ever drunk, better than West-Vleteren in my opinion. Very rich taste, a bit fruity, very balanced.

Forget the pour and head and appearance. This product must be experienced if you even think that you are some kind of beer connoisseur. Imagine all the great buttery breads and candies and dark fruits in Europe. Put em together and imbibe. Truly something to behold. From Licorice and raisins to plums and walnut sweetbread. From Twizzlers and toasted nuts to bananas and apricot. The more you drink and think the more different combos and nuances you can come up with. A thing you must do. Wonderful and satisfying.

Underliggende trappistgær-noter. Vinøs i dybet. Uovertruffen god smag. Sødme, sødme/bitterhed og sort peber i slutbilledet. Men aldrig overdøvende sødme. Tilpas og majestætisk. Indholdet af kuldioxid er på et medium niveau, og ku' måske være en anelse lavere IMO. God lang lækker bitter og sødlig eftersmag. Flot øl.
