3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0,33 l bottle from drinks-of-the-world.de, bottled in march 2014 (over a year old). Clear, luscious, orangeish amber with a huge, creamy, stable, tan to white head. Pleasant, fruity-yeasty aroma of peach, raisins, coconut, cane sugar, apples and dates. Pleasant, fruity-yeasty taste of coconut, dates, peach, cane sugar and hints of chocolate. Medium long, just slightly bitter finish with a minimally warming, alcoholic note. Medium body, highly effervescent and creamy mouthfeel, very lively carbonation. Another great trappist ale with such a nice body and round taste. Only the high carbonation interrupts the drinkability. Very nice!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear copper with a medium-high white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is peppery, fruity (bananas) and just what you’d expect, really. Taste is of slight belgian sugar, fruits and spices. Pretty dry overall. Body is medium and carbonation high and prickly. Overall a good belgian strong but far from the level of its two higher siblings.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rated based on notes taken 25 June 2012 -- This is a solid trappist brew. I really need to buy some to age and see how well they do.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
It pours a cloudy brown with white head. It has basement and earthly aromas. There is also a hint of cheese. It has a earthly character to the taste with herbal tendencies. It is dry on the palate.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served @ 55f in a goblet. Pours a lively dark brown with a short lasting white head. Soft caramel and herbal aromas. Flavours bring caramel, dates, brown sugar, and earthy herbs. Despite the sweet flavours the finish is not cloying and almost off-dry. Probably helped by the effervescent carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. A catch-up rating. Haven’t had this one for some time. Light sugary fruity nose, small herbal notes, toffee, yeast. Medium reddish-brown color, and a ring of sediment at the bottom of the glass. Thin, gentle fruity initial, matured and delicate, yeasty, light cocoa. Very earthy and complex. Solid, sweet, and not as overpowering as the 8 and the 10. Somehow it all belnds and tastes just right. Love it.
