COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

Bue en bouteille de 33cl. Un équilibre parfait entre malts et houblons. Un produit excellent ! Très facile à boire en toute occasion. Un grand classique belge !

Bottle conditioned BB 2018 priced at £2.95 from Cheese & Wine Shop in Darlington. Opens with a hiss. Reddish amber body. Medium fizzy off white head. Visible carbonation. Nose is alcohol, fruit, a moderate amount of hops, tangerines, slight clove, herbs, a hint of that Belgian wheat/yeast note, marmalade, and now it begins to remind me of Fuller’s Vintage and White Shield. Grass, juicy malt. Taste is light to moderate sweetness. Light bodied. Fizzy palate. Refreshing. Enhances cheese and biscuits. Essentially a pale ale in the style of higher strength Fuller’s beers and White Shield.

A- Pours a orangey red hue with a massive head that leaves beautiful lacing on the way down. S- Yeasty, spicy, slightly mettalic. T- Spicy, earthy, creamy, malty. M- Extremely creamy with medium-low carbonation. D- The mouthfeel, the taste, the smell all fall somewhat short for me.

Pours deep amber, good firm thick foam. Plums, banana in aroma, taste is plums, some sweet malts, and bubblegum. Very drinkable and 7.5% is not noticeable.

Frisk duft av pære og andre frukter. Dunkel gulbrun farge. Tykt dekkende kremfarget skum. God fruktig smak av flere frukter og krydder. Noe kullsyre.

Another good beer from Rochefort. Kind of a copper color with an off white head. Tastes of caramel, fruits, and spice with hints of malt.

Opaque brown with a large head. Served cool. Dried fruit, alcohol, and toffee aroma, but unfortunately stunted. Medium mouthfeel, slightly dry, no bitterness, very mild alcohol presence. Fantastic trappist flavour: dried fruit and caramel/toffee flavour blend quite nicely. Although not as complex as I’d like, still delectable.

Formou uma espuma bege muito bonita e consistente. Aroma levemente cítrico e um pouco doce. Gosto de frutas cítricas, com um tom de cravo no retrogosto. Cerveja leve, mas complexa e com muita presença. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Trappistes 6 is the lighter brother of 10 and 8. This brother has the taste of a Belgium beer. Lighter in color not light on alcohol.

Bottle @ Wellington Arms, Bedford. Pours a hazy golden brown. Head settles quickly to the side. Aroma of toast, kumquat and caramel. A lighter aroma that I expected. The taste is heavily sweet, overall very pleasant, if the tiniest bit on the sickly side. The chewy palette is enhanced by heavy carbonation. Good beer but not really a patch on 8 or 10.
