It pours a light, pillowy white head with a dark brown, almost caramel/chocolate color. The aroma is similar with a chocolate/caramel note and a slight hint of malt. The flavor is absolutely fantastic with a dark chocolatey body and a hint of caramel and hops. Barely a taste of alcohol. Again, a little starstruck but I’m fully confident I’ll try the 8 and 10 as soon as they’re in stock. IlanMan (850), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma of citrus, flowers, caramel, and malt. Flavor is delicious and full with a lot of malt, some fruit, and a hint of bitterness towards the end. Caramel and roasted malt dominate the flavor as well. Very nice brew. Alcohol well hidden. Would buy again. Arayaga2 (1001), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Brackish opaque brown with quick- fading thin tan head. Aroma is somewhat worty and sweet with caramel candied figs and spices. Taste is much the same, but a bit subtle with not much alcohol (or anything else) apparent. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing with firm but fleeting carbonation. $5/11.2oz jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Dark copper, almost cordovan, nearly opaque, with a thick pillowy head that had great retention and left very intricate lacing. Subtle aromas of figs and cherries with a touch of alcohol. Flavors were stronger, and included dark fruits, carob, and soft bread. The sensations on the palate stole the show - lively carbonation, silky smooth mouthfeel and a wonderful aftertaste. chicagodri (1081), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Something almost creamy in it that I can’t put my finger on. Better than the last time I tasted it. Geiserich (1790), Vienna, Austria
