This is my first experience with truly coveted beer and I have to say I am absolutely starstruck. It pours a light, pillowy white head with a dark brown, almost caramel/chocolate color. The aroma is similar with a chocolate/caramel note and a slight hint of malt. The flavor is absolutely fantastic with a dark chocolatey body and a hint of caramel and hops. Barely a taste of alcohol. Again, a little starstruck but I’m fully confident I’ll try the 8 and 10 as soon as they’re in stock.

Great brew. Poured a dark golden with a light tan head. Aroma of citrus, flowers, caramel, and malt. Flavor is delicious and full with a lot of malt, some fruit, and a hint of bitterness towards the end. Caramel and roasted malt dominate the flavor as well. Very nice brew. Alcohol well hidden. Would buy again.

Brackish opaque brown with quick- fading thin tan head. Aroma is somewhat worty and sweet with caramel candied figs and spices. Taste is much the same, but a bit subtle with not much alcohol (or anything else) apparent. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing with firm but fleeting carbonation. $5/11.2oz

Bottle, pours a very dark cloudy red brown, with a tan lasting head. Nice medium malts, some yeast a bit of chalk and chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden, quite a delicious beer. Nicely done, very delicious easily drinkable, nice once again Rochefort takes care of business.

Dark copper, almost cordovan, nearly opaque, with a thick pillowy head that had great retention and left very intricate lacing. Subtle aromas of figs and cherries with a touch of alcohol. Flavors were stronger, and included dark fruits, carob, and soft bread. The sensations on the palate stole the show - lively carbonation, silky smooth mouthfeel and a wonderful aftertaste.

A very good beer. Pours a cloudy brown with an off white head. Nice aroma, you can smell the yeast, fruit, and caramel. Sweet flavor from the caramel. Good balance with the spices and the fruit as well. Good stuff.

Ruddy brown, high carb head that quickly vanished. Yeasty and fruity. Zesty. Something almost creamy in it that I can’t put my finger on. Better than the last time I tasted it.

Bottled: Brown color, huge foamy head. Flavor has a malty base with intensive cacao notes like cacao beans. Caramel notes, some alcohol. Bit burning finish with dry chocolate notes. Fruity, estery aroma. Notes of rum-plums, alcohol, cacao and chocolate. Tasty brew with a fabulous aftertaste.
