Dark amber with a dense low head. Sweet and yeasty aroma with notes of chocolate, fruits and some liquorice. The flavours are tart and dark dried fruits with some complex spices. It is less sweet than it’s bigger brothers, and not quite as complex.

Bottle from BevMo in Vacaville. Surprisingly, I didn’t like this compared to other from Rochefort. There was way too much carbination, and it tasted more like sparkling water than beer. I can’t understand how this brew lacks where it’s siblings blow the competition away.

Dette er klart en af mine favoritter, den er godt afbalanceret og let drikkelig

Bottle. Sweet smell of malt, a little bit like wine, fruity with some yeast in it. A little bit of fresh bread shines through. The head is rather small, foamy-fizzy and fast disappearing. The body is a deep red-brown. It starts light bitter, quite big amount of carbonation in it. The body is rather medium, dry and with lively carbonation, the finish is rather light. Very nice one!

11.2 oz bottle. Pours dark amber, airy head, lively carbonation. Herbal and earthy aroma and flavor. Additional notes of caramel and subtle spice. A bit watery. Definitely not as good as 8 or 10.

Poured a hazy amber into a trappist glass. Thin fizzy head of cream and beige hues. Magnificent body and aroma. Malt driven taste
